Plus one for saying still in process. I was worried about that.
I think depends on VO whether or not Fbi goes in with app.
I am waiting for pr and timeline is close to yours.
Would you share your landing experience?
Congrats to you

He hasn't landed yet. His CoPR is valid until July 1, so we're planning for him to move at the end of May/June. He has a lot going on at home in the next few months (new baby niece due in April, little brother graduating from college, and he coaches youth wrestling as a hobby) so he wants to stay for these occasions and he's searching for a job in Ontario in the meantime while we also figure out housing arrangements and other logistics.
Our case was so cut and dry that I was hoping it would be fast and effortless and I guess the months of reviewing forms and materials was worth it!

What is liberty tax?
Liberty tax is a tax company in Canada like h and r block. Husband pays 135.00 a year for them to prepare his taxes.

My husband shows married, writes that I have no SIN and that I do not live in Canada, he benefits from this. My income and taxes in US are written in.
We use Liberty tax for his taxes and I do my own in the US.

Do you know how taxes are done if we are Common Law? Can my partner add me as a dependent?
I think he used Liberty Tax last year so I guess we can get answers when he does taxes. I was just wondering if you knew anything about being Common Law.

Hey October!

Just wondering, is your spreadsheet up to date? I read one person got COPR, wondering if there are other DMs etc.

Ah. Hadn't heard of them before. I checked with H&R block and they basically said I had to enter his annual income (converted to CAD) but also mark him as non-resident. My scenario is we're married, outbound application, he is non-resident, he is employed in the US and lives in the US. I do not support him (he doesn't support me financially either - we both have decent jobs). By entering his annual income that zero's out line 303 on the tax return. Otherwise you'd get over-credited and CRA could issue an erroneously large refund (and then you'd have to pay that back). Fun times!

Now if I could only get CIC to tell me what is going on with my application. 126 days, still no SA....sigh.

I just checked the website now and it says DM for my hubby! I had checked on Tuesday afternoon and there was still an In Process on it! Hubby is being very negative when I just told him the news because he doesnt know if that means yes or not but I told him most of the ones like this all seem to be a yes,,sometimes being married to a negative attitude thinker can make me crazy!

I'm pretty sure they can't reject an application without an interview.

I am pretty sure that way plus we have no flags have been married 28 years and since my brother works in the Govt sector teh RCMP does background checks every 5 years on the family! I just want to smack hubby right now I was soooo happy and now I feel deflated..I should never have bothered to tell himt he news!!!

I think congrats are in order here!

I'm pretty sure if it was a no, they would have emailed you by now with a reason why and an option to appeal the decision.

You won't get an email communications if the decision is yes. He should get CoPR in the mail in no time. My husband, who is very diligent about checking for updates every Tuesday/Wednesday, missed checking for like a week or two and ended up getting surprised with his CoPR in the mail! Then he went and checked and had DM on his status (btw, I mentioned this in a previous post, but even after getting SA and CoPR, my part still says In Process. So weird.)

I dont think they update the SA at all. Mine still says In Process as well! Well i hope the CoPR arrives fast so we can make plans for him to move up finally!!!

DM! Checked ecas yesterday, in process. Today..DM!
I am in Canada until May, so guess copr will go to USA house and I will get housesitter to mail to me, then fly to Calgary to flagpole. Wonder if they will tell me to get new photos since the size changed in November.
