then again, there are still some people on this thread stating that their study permit got approved despite the pandemic. if they're holding on to the approvals, you'd think they're holding everyone's application.

if that's the case, it's very misfortunate for those who are waiting for a very long time for a decision. my friend too unfortunately got his rejection decision last month although i am yet to receive anything from their end despite applying on the same day.

hi i know many of guys are waiting for a decision on their study permit for the upcoming fall semester, some already hold a valid sp, some even applied for the may semester and yet to get an outcome like me but since it's highly unlikely that there will be any in person classes this September...

sure, if you don't care about your money in case your visa gets rejected. nevertheless, i don't think you're even allowed/ encouraged to enroll in online classes without a valid study permit, besides i don't think it'll increase your visa chances in any way, good luck!

mine also changed a couple of days ago. where did you apply from and did you get the correspondence letter?

yes the corresponding letter stated that my biometrics are valid until 2030.

applied in march 16th for may intake via vfs global (paper application), completed medical and biometrics upfront. this is the first update i received after applying. the point of this thread is to reassure you guys that they are indeed processing visas although at turtle pace.

some universities provide you LOA's that are valid for more than one upcoming semesters such as mine and it was mentioned in my LOA. my university even mailed me about how I won't be needing a new LOA since it's valid for winter 2021.

i've already applied for a canadian study permit but it's taking forever for them to respond. i would like to know if i can apply for an Australian study permit in the meanwhile?

not really, technically no one can tell you for sure here but it's also logical to upload your new LOA there. i haven't because mine was already valid till 2021.

at lease you're getting mails. anyway so what you can do is upload your new LOA in gc key status page although i didn't do it. someone here told me not to since they will automatically readdress it as a fall semester application.

its not about that, it's the uncertainty. i don't care if it's an approval or not just want the decision if it's negative then i should know about it sooner so i can start my program here in a local university. the wait is frustrating is all i meant to say.

that I am not sure of unfortunately but since you originally held a sp before march 18th, i reckon you're exempt from the travel exemption. but you should contact ircc to know better. to get them to reply you immediately tweet them your question on their twitter verified page. they reply there...
