    Actually, by law, you must change that info with CRA within 30 days ( I believe it is) the time frame info is on the Rev Can website. I suggest that you do it right away - not necessarily for immigration purposes but because CRA will have a fit ! Trust me...... I just went threw it...

    It probably depends on the city you are in also..... here in London Ontario the Service Ontario is always busy but, it run pretty efficiently and the agents are very nice.

    I mailed it Nov 28th, then on Jan 18 received an email AOR stating they received it Nov 30 and began processing the application Jan 17 ( I assumed the delay was because of the Christmas holiday)

    I doubt very much that this application will go through without a lot of trouble. It seems this person has already been essentially deemed fraudulent in the eyes of CIC. I'd say a 1 year exclusion is a GIFT ! I think she needs to call and find out if the order is still in effect for her...

    Wouldn't your 6mths actually be in May ?? I see you filed before then, but your AOR is not until Dec......... When I called the other day, they said I can check back after May 30m, which is 6mth after our AOR ( Nov 30 )

    I know a couple who went threw this same situation. After a failed refugee claim, and appeal even though married to a Canadian (and they had a child) He was deported on a 1 year exclusion - meaning that after 1 year had passed his wife was able to file an outland application for him...
