No, he had OHIP at one time when he was working as a migrant worker, but cannot use it until it gets reinstated after AIP (it expired Dec of this year)

I think you misunderstood a post or something Sunsun - my husband does not yet have OHIP. ( I do - of course, because I am Canadian) but I was congratulating Canham who just recieved theirs. :)

true true... but, honestly - even tho our system is slow I'd rather be a Canadian ANY DAY more than American :) This is first full winter here also (in other years he was gone back down by November) so having to stay in the house and not being active is strange for him! He has packed on...

Oh boy.... I think I made a time costing mistake on the app :o My husbands work visa was going to expire in Dec so in Nov we filed for an extension (online) before the 30 days expiration period so he was not out of status while we gathered our other documents to submitt the Sponsorship App...

I checked the Canada Post tracker today and Vegerville received our package on Friday Nov 30th. Its not much..... but at least I know it is in their offices!

oh ok.....110 days......wow..that seems so long! I sponsored before in 1989, and at that time the app was 1 (long) page and a total of $250, evrything was done directly at an office here in my city - it was much easier and less confusing!! I think I need a dictionary for all these...
