    tax

I never completed a form. I changed my name at a services canada office and specifically asked is there anything else I have to do... the answer was firmly no. I don't think it's a requirement as when you do your income tax they ask for the details of your marriage.

Just lost my job, will it be a big problem to be a sponsor

This shouldnt effect you at all. Spousal applications are exempt from the minimum income requirements. If you are moving back to Canada you would have ahd to have quit that job eventually anyway. My advice, as always, is to be thorough explain the situation factually and clearly. You do not...

What do they ask you parents?

They post nothing to them. It is a formality, I believe it is part of the background check process - additionally, if you should ever choose to sponsor them to enter Canada the information is important. Just a heads up - during the process there are specific questions where it is asked if your...

Is the "AOR" the letter we receive about sponsorship approval? (Or not?)

Nope, AOR is application of receipt. It is sent by the visa processing office when they receive/start processing your file. However, not all offices send these letters. Best of luck :)
