Hi all
Do you know if applications including only ONE applicant get finalized faster than those including 2-3 people? Can security checks for instance take longer for families than for a single person?
Thanks
Hi
If you are a fast track applicant, your status does not change until a decision is made. I mean, receipt of medical results will not be seen on line before your status changes to decision made. I guess you are nor going trough security checks and will receive PPR upon completion. How long it...
Hi
If your wife has a good command of English, then she must not really worry about it. However, it is strongly recommended that she do as many as possible practice tests to get familiar with the test structure.
Hi Qorax,
In the fast track system, they ask for PPs and Meds at the same time. Does that mean that security checks are done already? If so, what can be a reason some passports are kept by the CHC for long?
Thanks...
Here is the formal instructions for the visa officers:

As of April 10th, no second chance will be given to the applicants to prove language proficiency.
Hi Shakira,
My friend did her medicals two weeks before you but has not received her visa yet. Does that mean that the Tokyo office is trying to finalize old applications before the get to the new ones? After you got yours, we at least know that her medicals have been received too. I guess they...
Okshan,
Do you know when your husband's old PCC from Manila was issued? Was it within three months before your application to the CIO?
My friend's PCCs are as old as yours and she worries if she might be asked for new ones as well. Thanks,
I just think they are a little confused! I was meaning to ask you the same thing, how come yours is fine and his is not? What about your PCCs from Japan? How old are those? Did you get that explanation from their letter or that is your interpretation?
Thanks
What do you mean it got expired? PCCs are valid if they not older than 3 months when you submitted your docs to the visa office. So they cannot get expired unless they ARE expired when you submit them.
Shakira, that is great news! Congratulations! Wish you the best in your future endeavors!
Just one question, did you check your online status after receiving your visa? Has it changed from In process to Decision made?
Thanks
Hi okshan
Did you not send PCC for your husband in the first place or it was an expired one?
As for the wording in your letter, I guess it is standard to say they need more documents to continue processing the processing.
Congratulations Yachiyo!
Would you please let me know:
1. When did you have your medical examinations and when they were sent to Manila?
2. How did you receive your passport? Had you sent them a self-addressed envelope?
Thanks a million!
Well, on Appendix A, it normally asks for reference letters from both the principal applicant and the spouse. However, you can always explain if you cannot provide the letter.
Hi Okshan
Well, another inconsistency from Tokyo office! My friend did not receive such a form at all! However, my understanding is that you need to fill out the form and send it to the visa office along with a self-addressed envelop. What they will put in the envelop and return to you remains a...
