After they Send it to havana they will update the same site yes. However they arent always very good at updating. Ours was never updated from the time it got to havana to the time my husband got his visa. It all depends on who is handling your file

Our status didn't get updated at all during the process... Even when my husband got called to go in with his passport etc. even when he got his visa. So it depends on the officer working on the file I guess.

Oh yeah sorry, thought u meant 10 months in havana. Every city has a MP (member of parliament) and once your timeline hits 10 months in Havana then I would be contacting them to look into things for you at that point.

Just a photocopy of the passport is needed. I thought also that it was written that they need the original so I sent it in, they sent it back to me though saying that they do not need the original time. And they just took a photocopy of it. So yeah, don't send the original just the copy...

I think the 5 month timeline hasn't been the case since like March...I think it's up to like 9 or 10 months now. Usually visa day is on a Wednesday yes, not sure what day they call though, I can't remember

They prob still take the time to investigate and make sure...I could be wrong but it just seems like the applications that have no family ties at all in the US or other red flags get processed a bit faster.

I think having direct family in the states is prob the thing that makes things take longer....

My husband flew in from Varadero, havana airport is far too hectic, he flew Westjet to vancouver but it had a stop over in Montreal so that's where immigration did his landing papers so if your spouse has a connections flight I would make sure there is a sufficient amount of time in between...
