Hi. Yes I was recently approved. Our application was sent towards end of June and received within last 2 weeks in Havana.

Sounds like they are updating the application in Havana. Usually when they ask questions regarding relationship they are getting close to deciding on the visa. They usually call on Mondays or Tuesdays to ask the person to come to Havana and if approved give the visa on Wednesdays according to people who have finished the process and are now in Canada. Sounds like you are close to success.

I can't see the visa being approved yet they r probably making sure your application is complete before they start processing it. It doesn't seem as though applications r moving too fast. Count on waiting almost ten months.

So my mp just notified me that my application is still in process and it has been over nine months so they r not moving too quick in Havana! !

It does not seem like we are getting much movement but there are others who are getting through so I think it has a lot to do with the agents that are processing the applications.

There hasn't been movement in Havana for over a month! It could be vacation time too.

They also told the mp there were no notes on the file!!!

I am going to spend the $5 and get notes when I get back from Cuba the first of Oct It will be 9 months then.

Apparently the officer will not enter notes until a final decision is made. I will be going to Cuba oct 5th for three weeks i will book a flight for my husband to come home with me but will get cancellation insurance in case a decision isnt made by oct 19th when i return home. I hope no news is goid news right now. If he was required to have an interview i would imagine it would already be in the notes?

If my husband gets his visa when I am there I will purchase airline ticket from Cuba

Happy Friday and long weekend everyone. Hope that the new week brings some luck to all of waiting. Had a question regarding the E-Cas notes. On my sponsor application E-Cas was updated with "we are processing your application" with a date. Do they do this on our spouses application from Havana as well? Mine has application received and medical results received and nothing else. Just curious what other's E-Cas notes state.

Ecas shows in the beginning the date your application was considered complete. Med received, etc. You can log in with file number after sponsor approval. If you are spouses representive you will see info.

Yes I am aware. What I was asking and wanting to get others to respond was how soon after application was in Havana did E-Cas update with "we are processing your application" or something to that effect? I ask because my sponsor application here had it on Ecas (mind you quite a few weeks after receiving it) yet my husbands application doesn't have that. Sorry for the confusion.

^^I'm curious to know this as well, since I'm at almost 7 months and the status on ECAS for Havana is still ''application received'' - Medicals completed; which was the update that appeared there about 1-2 weeks after the file reached Havana. Not sure how reflective of the current application status that is..

Our status didn't get updated at all during the process... Even when my husband got called to go in with his passport etc. even when he got his visa. So it depends on the officer working on the file I guess.
