I'm one of the people with the quick application. Took 6 months from start to finish, 4 months in canada for sponsor approval because they needed updated forms so that slowed things down, and two months once it was in Havana. My husband and I met in England in summer of 2013. I was 29 and he...

It usually just depends on the age of the person... If your spouse is still relatively younge they won't request another one because they know their health Prob hasn't changed within the processing time

    Havana, Cuba

Well like Europo said, it pretty much depends on wether u get an interview or not....if they waive the interview then the wait seems to only be 2-4 months from when it hits Havana (ours was 2 months) and if the interview is required then unfortunately there is a long wait for an appointment :(...

That's exactly what I mean, it's owned by the government therefore it's highly likely that they shut it down for the public on purpose however government officials etc. still have access to Internet. So emailing the embassy will Prob still work

Actually I just remembered. They ask people to update schedule A quite often, usually in regards to question #8. Depending how old your spouse is. But my advice would be to fill out all his history From 18 years of age until now with no gaps Instead of the 10 years the forms ask for regardless...

Did u not fill out schedule A? Or maybe you had gaps in the dates, just make sure you fill out everything the way they want you to and just give them whatever they request...nothing with the process seems to be "normal" haha. Congrats though, u seem to be moving along smoothly! Hopefully u will...

Go get it done now because it takes a while and then once you get it done you can wait for them to ask for it. Or even take the receipt with you down to the embassy in Havana that same day and get them to put it into the file IF by that time your file is already in havana so that it saves you a...

Since it's over the 10 month mark you actually may get some info at the embassy, so it's worth going in my opinion. Hopefully you will hear something in the meantime and won't have to though. Good luck :) enjoy your time in Cuba :)

    Havana, Cuba

Come to think of it the same thing happened to me last year. I was trying to get to the bottom of why my first stage approval is taking so long and it was around Christmas time and my MP was not very helpful as well and was telling me that I probably won't get answers (from havana at the time)...

I would go by what havana told you. Your MP. Doesn't seem to be very helpful and doesn't seem to want to work too hard during the Christmas season :/

My advice is DO NOT use Cuba Amore for annnnnyyyyything! Once u sign up they don't let you deactivate! It's a highly toxic and negative website used to turn ppl away from being with cubans! It's not like this one where everyone is here to help and support eachother through this process

India is a waaaaaaaay different story. CICs MAIN concern is the Cuban adjacent act. The US puts a lot of pressure on Canada to make CERTAIN that they are SURE that they will not go to the states. No other country IN THE WORLD has that privilege except Cuba. Therefore a Cubans chances of a...

    Havana, Cuba

Chances are slim to none! For two reasons. One is that they won't beleive that they will leave canada once their visitor visa expires, especially since u have applied to move to Canada and if the PR doesn't go through even more reason just to stay since you're already here. And two because the...

And no I wouldn't hire anyone at this point if I were you. I think it will cost you like $5000 just to have someone fill out papers, you will have to do the hard stuff alone anyways which is gather all the evidence. There's a lot of stuff to do but it's pretty straightforward. An immigration...

    Havana, Cuba

Galano pretty much summed it up. But yeah make sure to check the bottom of the forms for dates to make sure it's the most recent version. That was my mistake. I printed off all the form and it took me a few months to get everything together and filled out and at some point during that time one...

The email from the embassy in havana that was sent to you to notify you that they received it in Havana would have been dated. That's the exact date you go by. So now you wait for 10 months for either the visa or a interview date.

Not everyone gets an interview. If there are no red flags you bypass an interview. 10 months is what it's looking like these days however that's not written in stone. TS on a case by case basis
