    Express entry True Story

You can get more than 470 points without a job offer/Canadian work experience, and having relatives in Canada doesn't add any points under the EE scoring system.

    Attracting the right people?

While it's true that some of these people simply didn't bother with ECA/etc., I think some of them just really don't have a high score on human capital.

What is the mystery of Second Draw?

I would assume the growth rate would diminish somewhat. Judging by 2014 spreadsheet, the number of applications received by CIO in the first 2 months since the program launch was somewhat larger than in the following months (see http://tinyurl.com/FSW14-Spreadsheet , "Charts" subsection...

What is the mystery of Second Draw?

See here: http://www.immi.gov.au/media/statistics/statistical-info/visa-grants/index.htm , there are some pdfs ("Report on Migration Programme <period>"). They're pretty long, but they do contain some interesting information, like, for example, this quote on Skilled Independent program...

What is the mystery of Second Draw?

Unfortunately, they indeed may view it like that. However, they also talked about releasing some statistics, so I'm just hopeful they will do so some day. After all, Australia releases quite a bit of statistical information.

    Gathering statistics

Thanks. I'm still curious if there are any lower numbers. My guess is that numbering is continuous, but that it started from some big number, maybe E000215000 or something like that, so I'm trying to figure out what the starting number was.

What is the mystery of Second Draw?

I personally think there are around 50k applicants by now. Really hope that CIC would release at least some statistics. Maybe try the proxy server which was posted around here: http://free-proxyserver.com/ ?

What is the mystery of Second Draw?

695 applicants, but I wonder why can't you see it (link in my signature)?

I got 600 points in a sudden this morning-PGWP holder

What did you answer to the "Does <candidate> have a valid work permit for the current job in Canada" question?

I got 600 points in a sudden this morning-PGWP holder

Does PGWP qualify as a valid work permit? I'm doubtful because the next question mentions an employer named on the work permit, and I think that PGWP doesn't have anyone's name on it, so maybe they mean a LMO-based temporary work permit.

What's the problem with the screenshot? I posted a screenshot via imgur, it's a very easy process. What's your OS?

I got 600 points in a sudden this morning-PGWP holder

Seriously? If I'm not mistaken, there are 130k PGWP holders. If this is true, then goodbye, Canada, for most people here - 130k would be more than enough to meet Canadian immigration plans for the year.

I got 600 points in a sudden this morning-PGWP holder

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe this story. I'm sure the rules demand an LMIA with no exceptions, and I think there were threads on this forum where people posted about how they asked CIC call center for clarifications and got the exact same answer. Also, if PGWP meant automatic +600...

If it's true, most people here are screwed.

Btw, does anybody have an ID which starts with E000216XXX or a smaller number?

    Question about LMIA!

Could you please share the link to the statistics?

What is the mystery of Second Draw?

According to the spreadsheet, only half the candidates apply with a spouse.

    Third Draw!!

First of all, it doesn't even work yet, and won't work for some time. Secondly, people <b>already</b> in Canada working for somebody have trouble getting LMIAs and even convincing their employers to initiate the whole process - do you seriously think it's going to be easier for potential...
