Yeah, we called the border, and the POE officer we talked to said, it sounds like their shouldn't be a problem for him to come back into Canada as longs as we can prove filed the PR outbound, and we paid the fees etc... But that is just one POE officer, you never know who you will get.

Thanks for you reply. The restoration of status was denied. We are applying outland, I just don't know if Buffalo needs that information. He is leaving Canada Friday and we are hoping he can come back in.

I guess calling the CIC and asking them if there is anything else we could do to get him in status is useless? before we head to the border. This was an error on their part...so frustrating

Anyone ever get their work permit issued at the border when entering Canada while on an outbound PR? We are filing outbound Monday and my hubby has to leave Canada and he is going to see if he can re-enter. He would like apply for a work permit right at the border, is this possible???

2 years ago my then fiance (now my husband) sponsored ME to the USA, we got the first stage approval and I found out I was pregnant. We decided that it made more sense for us to live in Canada. I still have that approval letter from the USIS, should I take that with me to the border for more...
