We have to distinguish new applications under the new rules from old applications under the old system. For applications that were sent in 2011, 2012 and even 2013 there is really no limit as they can take 40+ months. My application has been processing since October 2011 and I still don't have...

What is your timeline? has the 36 months passed? Maybe contact your local MP. I think we need to be very proactive here. New applications are barely taking 6-8 months while old applications can take 4 years, that is simply ridiculous and unacceptable.

I am in the same situation but I applied in 2011. A few days ago I received a letter from CIC from an Officer requesting additional informaton (CIT0520), so I am hoping that that I will be scheduled for oath very soon.

I agree and it is a shame that CIC is just sitting on peoples applications. What is the point of holding onto these applications for years? they could have easily either accept and deny within a reasonable amount of time but they chose to bascically put them on shelves. This is truly ridiculous.
