Select the NOC code that lists the responsibilities matching the most to your responsibilities carried out at work. It should be related to your current job, the job profile you have while applying for PR and not the job you did in the past.

And what if i am applying for PR from my home country ? How many months or days will I have to go to Canada after receiving my PR and for how long do I need to stay there to keep my PR status ?

I think LMIA of a different NOC code as your work experience should be fine.. And IELTS should atleast be valid till you receive your ITA..

Guys, I know a few people who have scored much more than the CRS cut off but have not received ITA yet. Any idea what could be the reason? I mean, the only qualification to get ITA is to make enough CRS points, right?

Yes, that should work. The Visa Officer can also call and check so inform your illegit reporting manager/HR.

Yeah, but he can't show preparing for IELTS coz he gave them in Sep 16. He can mention the other things though, as written above. Better to not show the work exp if it's not related to his study.

You can leave it. As you are applying for Student Visa, I don't think they will get in to much of history but to be on the safer side, you can say you did Freelance work for some months or were 'on a break' and preparing for Visa formalities...
