The lawyer SHOULD be getting the appropriate correspondence and be able to check the status of your app. They should also be communicating any updates to you. I didnt receive any emails for DM yet though, which I'm guessing is what would trigger the lawyer to communicate updates with you.

Yes DM is decision made. I checked GCKEY yesterday and it briefly showed that the status of the app is being reviewed, instead of just submitted, then quickly went back to "submitted" status. Looking into the details of the app, it said that eligibility is being reviewed. When I checked ECAS...

I'm hoping it's some sort of glitch and our BgC are actually in process. I saw that mid to late a July apps already have AIP and DM on both sides.

That's the status using your GCKEY. Twilight_forever (the post you responded to) was listing their ECAS status. You can find it by logging in here: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do and then clicking on the permanent resident application status. You'll probably find that they...

You're still waiting for your application to read "processing" on the applicant's side on ECAS (same as AOR2)? I think most of August has had that update and we're all within a few days of each other. I would double-check, or maybe try checking with CIC if there is an issue?

I'm not too sure. It seems that some June and July(I think?) apps are receiving decision made on both sides though!

I'm also in the same boat right now. Next step is we should be getting sponsor approval, then approval in principle (AIP) follows almost immediately, and often the same day from what I've read. Next will be decision made on the applicant's side and you'll then wait for correspondence for an...

My partner (the applicant) is also from the US and we have traveled by air to the US and Mexico since receiving OWP and don't have a TRV or visitor visa. Initially, he came here in January 2017 on an intra-company transfer (temporary worker's permit through NAFTA), which looks exactly like the...

Ah gotcha! I wanted to double check that you were in the proper forum. You may very well be ahead of us if they started processing your application right away then. What does your AOR state and when does it state that they started processing your application on ECAS? PPR is only for outland...

Congrats, but I think you might be in the wrong forum. This forum is for applications that were received in August of 2018, but according to your history, it looks like your app was received May 29th 2018?

Oh, that sounds like it's a unique situation that most of us who are applying for inland PR with OWP do not go through. Sorry if I scared you, you might be doing things correctly since it seems that your OWP isn't tied to your PR process.

I think that might have been a mistake. Perhaps try to call CIC to confirm? Here is what the official immigration page says, which says you need to mail in your OWP if you've already submitted your PR app, but haven't yet received approval in prinicple (AIP)...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that until you have received AIP (approval in principle), you can only submit the work permit application through paper (mail).

When did CIC receive your PR application? Unless I'm misunderstanding your comments and comment history, you mention that you applied for your work permit online? If you submitted your PR application around August 23/24, then your original work permit should have been submitted as a paper copy...
