It's in effect the system that replaced the old landing system for inland applicants, and it's overly convoluted primarily due to their being so many different ways to apply for PR combined with paper vs online applications (IRCC are transitioning to fully online applications slowly). Part of...
that's great news I also got and replied to Portal 1 on 21st- still waiting for Portal 2. I just want this process to be over and done with (as is everyone else in the same boat)
a couple of months going off the current timeline- you got the portal 1->portal 2 quicker than a lot of people who got the portal 1 email before you. Were you express entry or non-express?
I'm with @moscatojuices going for the easiest route is going to harm your earning potential in the long term which might not end up making getting PR worth your time, it's best to look at things long term rather than what is easiest in the short term.
I suspect it's the case that with the virtual landing queue that it is split into different queues depending on the PR application stream, and once the portal 1 replies are sent by the client it then gets assigned back to the case officer and that is what drives the amount of time it takes to...

so I just did a test by sending another email the exact same as my original email to them, and got no auto-reply. So I'm assuming that there is likely some sort of process in place to ensure that only one reply/email with the exact header can be in the landing queue at a time. Let's hope I...
yep. no worries I can understand the tension. I sent a separate email based on my representatives instructions with the info requested by IRCC on the same day and got the auto-reply about being in the virtual landing queue.
Given that they've moved to the online portal for a lot of...
I spoke to my representative when I got the auto-reply email and they said it's normal.
The method of email you send is gonna be dependent on whether you used a representative or not for your application. The whole process seems a bit of a mess though- especially on the Calgary side.
As long as you get an auto-reply email from them saying you are in the virtual landing you are fine.
People who use representatives will not reply to the initial email as it is forwarded from the representative so send an email directly with the subject they recommend.
i'm not sure if you'll get in trouble unless you eventually try to get Citizenship. but at the same time only being in the country for 10 days after getting your PR and then going back home doesn't really show you trying to settle in the province that you made a commitment to reside and...
Unfortunately , it seems a lot of people have been waiting for a few months for CoPR to be validated, calling isn't going to speed the process up.
It sucks, and is really shitty how piss poor the overall processing of applications has been.
