i am not sure the NOC code for the job you are working right now, you will have to look into it for skilled trades work. Google that and see what you come up with.

Well for express entry you need about one year valid work experience in a skilled profession so I think you should work for a year then start applying, the degree you got was that masters degree ?

This is a bit confusing. So when you are issued a work permit it means you can work for a Canadian employee. Now if they reject your work permit some of the reasons would be that you don't have an LMIA or they feel the job you are working could be given to a canadian instead. If you go back to...

Hi You can apply for restoration of status and normally they give you about six months give or take but you also have to prove you have the money to support yourself while you are here. Apply to restore status asap.

I don't know if you can apply for it online. You are not applying for a standard visitors visa, you are applying to change your status from worker to visitor so you have to check the box that states "Change of status"

I just read on the forum someone had the same issue but they were just told to pay the right amount and re send the application. I guess it also depends on the processing officer but sorry to hear that. I understand how hard that must be.

This is tricky since he has been here 14 years illegally, but for sure if you are to take him to court for child support - he will be turned over to immigration and most likely deported.

No problem! Good luck and remember to include a letter assuring them that you will leave as of the date you have indicated. The more convincing you are , the more likely your application would be approved.

I can imagine. The 90 days I was walking about was 90 days starting from when they rejected your application. They will normally tell you your implied status ends as of the day they reject your application, then tell you , you have 90 days to reapply for a different visa. Was this not mentioned...

I applied for it after they sent me the letter that they can not renew my work permit, so they told me I had 90 days to restore my status. NOW as you currently have a valid work permit and are not applying for it to be renewed, you need to apply to switch to visitor BEFORE it expires.

well some people have their application processed in less than 90 days and other takes more than 90 days, depends on the processing officer. Other people said after a week call your bank to see if your bank draft was cashed . just keep the positive attitude and fingers crossed.
