If your tourist permit has epxired, i would not advise you to leave the country as you no longer have valid visa for you to re enter . I think you should wait till you get your new valid visa before leaving the country because they may not let you back in . Good luck!!

Why dont you take a one year program at Algonquin College and complete that program and apply for a PGWP?

how long is the course that you applied for ? The one I applied for is for one year so I am worried they may mention the school and program on the study permit because it is just a year. Did you apply from Ottawa?
