Hi Guys

I graduated from the university of ottawa in 2012 and I have come to the end of my post graduate work permit. I want to go back to do my masters in September (as no program starts earlier than that ) but in the mean time I would like to take some business courses to prepare towards my masters.

These courses are only for four months and I do not know if i can get the study permit with these courses even if i prove that I am taking it because I want to start my masters in Business in September. The courses also happen to be only offered part time on campus not full time.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

well apply to be a visitor's permit/change of condition from PGWP to visitor ,u dont need a study permit for courses under 6 months(not sure the exact number). then when u get admission to masters apply for study permit. Just an FYI u do not qualify for PGWP a second time its a one time deal.

i applied for a one year business program so I can take courses that will help towards my masters program.

my main concern is if i start and for some reasons i have to become part time - if that would be an issue.

You can apply for a SP for courses 6 months or less. You do not need it but it will help if you plan to continue.
