So you don't get issued a SIN when you land? I'm going to be working for an Australian company as soon as i land and was under the impression any earned income, local or international, means you have to put in a tax return for that year, albeit for 2 weeks. If i need a SIN to put in a tax...

Are you aloud to land with your COPR and not actually start the process, because it would make my life a lot easier if i "Land" after Jan 1st, so i dont have to put in a tax return this year :P

I'm booked on a flight to Canada on 15th Dec for holidays with my partner etc. I'm also currently at day 28 of waiting for COPR to be sent to me. Knowing my luck I will get my COPR after i get back to Canada, can I just get it sent over to me there and then flag pole at the USA border? I know...

Nope, I'm in Perth. Sponsor is in Canada though. I guess each and every application is different.

Lucky you, just rechecked my ppr and it asks for photocopies of passport pages. Wonder why yours was different? Also i think we are all going through Sydney on this thread aren't we?

You can email it??? I thought you had to print and post it so you could include your return envelope.

Congratulations!!! When did you get / send off your ppr? I'm at day 18 since they received my passport scans. Hoping to get it within next week or 2.

Just got PPR today :) I am currently in Canada but will be returning to Australia in 2 weeks, if i send forms to Sydney can i include a Canada Post prepaid envelope or should i just send it via regular mail? I don't have a pre paid Australia Post envelope.

Also found out I wont be able to import my motorcycle as it doesn't conform to Canadian / US standards. :( Looks like I'm going to have to sell it when i get back in Nov.

Decision made this morning. I'm on a British passport, do they ask for entire passport or a scan or pages or just confirmation it has not been updated?

Odd, i received AOR on June 1st but mine is still showing application received. Maybe our application was so awesome they are showing it to everyone in Sydney ..... ???

At last we are seeing some progress. I think someone who got their file transferred 2 days before you was completed at least 2 months ago! I'm 1 month behind you so at this rate ..... should be sometime in 2016 :P

I haven't heard anything, still says Application Received every 12 hours i check. I'm currently in Canada with my partner until Nov when i return home for a month, hopefully to return as a landed resident. It seems a bit odd that Sydney as come to a complete grinding halt. It doesn't actually...
