Hi guys
I was carefully checking the spreadsheet for manila applicants and realized that most of the people who were requested for additional documents got their passport request the same day. My case is different because i was requested for additional documents(RFPR fess and police check) since august and sent them in same august. September 22nd my E-cass changed to IP and ever since did not get passport request till now. I am getting nervous and worried can anyone share their experience or explain what is going on. NB i am not from a visa exempt country to Canada.

For some reasons, CIC was not issuing the PPR or the Visas during last 3 months but it seems that they have now started 'working' aggressively. Your turn in next, hopefully.

do you guys know what's the meaning of group name: FC-PRI- 3A Straightforward - for officer review in gcms notes? TIA

I'm guessing it means the case is straightforward :)
Those notes are from a month ago at least and you recently went In Process so I imagine the officer is reviewing it now

The only other place in the forum where that wording is mentioned (that I could find, anyway) is for a user named Vanity08:

Hi guys. Just got my gcms notes.

It says:
app. Status reason: in progress
Group name: straightforward-for officer review/waiver confirmation
Assessments:
Eligibility: in progress
Security: no notes
Criminality: passed
Medical: passed

Does it mean my case is a positive one? And visa is on its way soon? Thanks

Maybe someone in Mississauga wrote it when they skimmed your file?
Ours said "interview recommended" while they still had it.
Is there a recent date above it?

No matter what, it does sound good to me!

thank you so much! Yes you're right, my gcms was generated sept 25,2014 and went in process oct 10 so i guess this sounds good...

Thanks a lot my dear!

But looking at the spreadsheet I can see PPR until this month of October, I know requesting for additional documents sets me back like a month but the wait time is getting longer. :( :( :(

Landed this morning (Oct 30)
Praying for a quicker process for everyone!

Congratulations on the landing and family reunion! How was the landing process? Where'd you land? Any advice on the process?

Decision Made this morning, as yet to find out what it is :P

Well, since they didn't already request interview, you can expect this to be good news.

He landed in Toronto. It went really quickly, just the same questions I read about in these forums. "Have you ever committed a crime?" "What's your address and phone number in Canada?" "Do you have children?"
Filling out the B4 form helped a lot. Made the process much quicker because he knew everything he had with him.
Also, convert money before you leave. Canada doesn't have all the currencies available to exchange. Euro is a safe one.

Congratulations and welcome!!!

Got an email for PPR today!!!! It says a decision has been made, and your visa will be valid until March 2015.

I couldn't believe it! I started crying in the middle of the street!!

Funnily enough, ECAS is still showing 'Application received'...

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
