Hey guys, this is going way faster than I thought. The passport was sent yesterday, and it's ready for pickup today! My wife's going to pick it up this afternoon. Wow unbelievable.

Good to hear that service exceeds expectations. I wish that they would put the median speed as well as the average. I think that the average is a bit deceptive to folks in our position.

I did not think Singapore VO would be faster than the Manila VO.

I'm happy to update the spreadsheet for you but I need clarification: What do you mean by " passport is sent back"? Does that mean he received the COPR? Also, when did your ECAS change to "Decision Made"?

I did not think Singapore VO would be faster than the Manila VO.

Thanks a lot O_guy. I never thought in a million years that would happen either. Singapore is going way faster than last 2 years, that can only mean good news for current and future applicants from that region. Now they don't have to worry so much about the 31 month processing time when they see lots of people are getting visas in 6-8 months.

We're buying the tickets today. Haha the visa is pretty of course. Looks exactly the same as her visitor visa, except the Category is IMMIGRANT instead of VISITOR.

In light of the two terrorist attacks here in Ottawa and Quebec in this week, there is heightened security, especially at the airports. So if any of you or your loved ones are landing in the next a few weeks, travel light. And when you are picking up loved one at the airport, take this intensified security into consideration.

Hi O GUY,

I meant that he received his Residence Visa and COPR
October 6th, 2014: CPC-Ottawa sent my hubby an email asking for passport
October 7th: ECAS changed to decision made
October 8th: We mail the passport to Ottawa
October 10th: they received
October 15th, 2014: Visa was issued in the passport
October 20th, 2014: he received his passport back with the residence visa and the COPR.
