I noticed they changed that on the website as well. As best as I can recall... it was about one year. Maybe someone else who has more knowledge can chime in.

Make sure you double check to see if they updated any forms on the website US outland applicants are processed in Ottawa.

Gonzo, The prior military did not seem to create any extra processing time that I can tell. The entire process from start to finish took 7 1/2 months. We did send in that DD214 once we got the file number but not all the records. They did not request any further documentation. :)

My husband was denied entry to Canada for having to much stuff and not enough ties to the USA and given a list of things he needed to prove before he could enter. We also let them know about that on the application and there was no problems with our application from that.

I did three folders Sponsor Applicant Proof of Relationship I included one marriage certificate and photocopy... I'm trying to think of which folder I put it in, but I believe I put it in the Sponsor and then put a photocopy of the marriage certificate in the Applicant's folder with a...

INLAND takes about 26 months OUTLAND is ranging around 7 to 8 months currently.

Outland for US citizens is much faster. We just got a decision for Outland processing.. and it has been just over seven months. My husband has been here throughout the process just not able to work.

We have a DM ..... Not sure about this.. very bad feeling since they asked for police reports for places my husband has never even been too... Very worried about this error on their part.. How long does it take from DM on ECAS to getting the letter? :'(

Got a letter from the CIC asking for a police clearance from China. Said it is our final reminder ( never been asked for one yet to start with ) Gave us 7 days to give them it. Problem is........ my husband has never even been to China ...... ever ..... I am going to lose my mind......

Everyone is moving along in May :) We applied May 26 and are hoping that we will get a DM soon as well. The only thing that worries me that might make a hold up is my husbands prior military and he was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and stationed overseas in Japan, perhaps more security...
