Everyone is moving along in May :)
We applied May 26 and are hoping that we will get a DM soon as well. The only
thing that worries me that might make a hold up is my husbands prior military and he
was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and stationed overseas in Japan, perhaps more security checks would be
needed based on that.
But the light is there , at the end of the tunnel and so happy
to see that so many are getting DM's and landing for a wonderful Canadian Christmas ~ !

I keep playing "All I want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carey on Youtube and reminding my wife of that.

;D Hong Kong times are quite low , I do hope you get your DM soon~!

COPR just came in the mail today! About a week from DM to COPR. Will head to Niagara to land (and shop at Target, of course!) this weekend !!

I'd like to add myself to the timeline, but I'm not quite sure how to do this. I don't have much experience with spreadsheets to be honest. I added a 'plus' thinking that's how I add myself, but it just opened a blank sheet.

Apparently the owners of the spreadsheet need to add some rows to the bottom so that new users can add their timeline. I'm not sure when that will happen. Perhaps try back again. Sorry!

Probably a dumb question, but does anyone know if the VO's in Canada take two weeks off for holidays? Like, would it be pointless to check ECAS until after New Years?

It takes me about 40 seconds so on most days I check it once or even twice anyway. But goals may have been met, some sort of quotas may have been reached, and especially in foreign visa offices the employees may take off for vacation so I think there is an inevitable slowdown.

Got the stamped passport (with an IMMIGRANT IM-1 visa) and CoPR just now!

So everything is finished before landing!
Thanks so much for everyone here for your kind assistance! Wish everyone DM and LANDED very soon!

When I tried to add my timeline to the 2015 outland spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FAYZyQgud1lzp7fM28i2O8ZrfbMAxdTc_t7_fiwI6ak/edit#gid=658388151

Google Doc told me:

There was a problem
You are trying to edit a protected cell or object. Please contact the spreadsheet owner to remove protection if you need to edit.

Is it because the administrator of the spreadsheet locked it to prevent it from being spoiled?

Please let me know if there is any way that I can do the row inserting, or maybe the administrator can help to add my timeline above into the spreadsheet.

Thanks!

It happens the same to me when I wanted to add my timeline!!!!

Hi Guys:
jUST want to say that my wife already landed in Canada... wish every one good luck

I landed at rainbow bridge on Friday, VERY easy process. Waited maybe 5 minutes before seeing an agent, he was very nice and asked a few questions. Also, told me the waiting time for PR cards is around 71 days.

OMG OMG OMG!!!!! So some of you probably read that a couple weeks back I got an email (after my docs request) saying that CIC still needed my FBI paperwork, but I had given them the original. I was freaking out because it's a four month wait to receive the FBI stuff, so if they had in fact screwed it up they'd have delayed my application by probably six months.

I called, I visited my local MP, and I sent a case specific inquiry - all to no avail until about a week ago when someone actually replied to the case specific inquiry (even though the reply email said it would take 30 business days!) saying to disregard the precious email; that they did in fact have everything they needed.

I was still worried that my application had gotten shuffled around and stuck in some "waiting for stuff from her" pile....but I just logged into ECAS and found Decision Made waiting for me like a huge Christmas miracle!!!!

AAAAAGH!!!! So excited, and so happy. I cannot wait to finish everything and be done with CIC (for a couple years, anyway....then citizenship!)

My rough timeline (give or take a few days on dates, I'm on mobile):

Filed: May 21, 2015
SA: July 27, 2015
Doc Request: October 23, 2015
Additional (incorrect) email requesting FBI report: November 26, 2015
Decision Made: December 21, 2015!!!!!

Hang in there, May friends!!!! Hopefully you'll all get a good Christmas present from CIC!
