You're able to submit your app without the actual fbi check. Just include a letter talking about the long processing times. They're used to it with US applicants.

We actually still have it because we had to wait on a letter from my husbands employer. It'll be sent off tomorrow. We are still trying to figure out what other evidence we might be able to attach.

You're right - "pointless" was a poor choice of words. Better too much rather than too little. I guess I was just at a loss as to what else we could include as evidence that we are legit, in love, the real deal, in it to win it, etc ;) ;D

Oh. My bad. I should have clarified. My daughters are Canadian citizens already so they are not being sponsored. So now it appears as though I am back to having the same situation as you...which makes it easy!
