    Landing experience - Ambassador Bridge

Hi nov1061, I see. Thanks. That clears up a lot of things I was concerned with. I'm from a visa exempt country, so knowing that I can travel in and out of Canada with COPR is really good for my future plans.

    Landing experience - Ambassador Bridge

siroccoon, Thanks. So if you have COPR, and valid passport, we can just get out and into Canada while waiting for the PR card?

    Landing experience - Ambassador Bridge

First of all, congrats on landing! Just a quick question: Judging from what you described, I'm assuming you are from US, which is a visa exempt country. So, if I'm understanding correctly, if your passport is from one of the visa exempt countries, you can just do the landing, have your PR card...

When to expect medical if app id was received in 2nd week of Jan 15

My application was received on Sept. 2, 2014, got my AOR on Jan. 13, 2015. It looks like a few applicants from Jun 30 and Jul 2 2014 received their MR today. Judging from the way things are going, we can expect to receive our MR approximately 2 months from now at the earliest.

Schedule 8 & Employer Reference Letters

Hi, August 2014 applicant here with AOR issued in January 2015. I also put the abbreviated version of my duties on Schedule 8 as well. My NOC is 2714, computer programmer, so it's fairly easy to be brief on my duties (write code, test code, create software documentations...). I just put three...

    Police Clearance of USA

Yes, the FBI website says that, but you should be able to get in in a month or so. I'm an August 2014 applicant, and got mine in July. The website said it'd take 14-16 weeks back then as well, but I got it in a month and half.

    USA police certificate

I had to get one for my application as well. And I can also confirm that it only took about a month to a month and half for them to process and mail it to back to me. I followed the process on this website...

    October 2014 Applicant-Still No Response

Looks like that's how long it's been taking. People whose applications reached CIC on August 27 are now receiving AOR as well as a few early September applicants. My application reached CIC on Sept. 2nd. My bank draft was cashed on Nov. 6th. And I'm still waiting for my AOR. Hoping I receive it...

    October 2014 Applicant-Still No Response

That's a good news. It means they checked your application and nothing is missing, so it's unlikely that they will return your application. Just sit back and wait until you receive your AOR. Judging from how things are going at this point, it probably will be about two months from now, but this...

    October 2014 Applicant-Still No Response

Since end of July 2014, the time it takes to receive AOR has gotten significantly longer (the wait time is currently like 120 days). Right now, those who applied in the end of August to beginning of September are receiving AORs. We don't know if the AOR wait will remain around 120 days, will get...

    Application Returned

Hi, I applied under 2174 as well in late August. My application reached CIC on Sept 2nd. It has not been returned, and my back draft has been cashed on Nov 6th. Where did you get the information that 2174 might be capped? My understanding is that since 2174 falls under NOC A, there was no cap...

    CEC October 2014 Applicants

August 2014 Applicant here. Yes. I sent my application with the certified cheque as well. I just went to my bank and asked them if the cheque has been cashed and they were able to tell.

    September 2014 - CEC Applications

CEC only looks at your work experience you declared in your application, so whatever you do now shouldn't have any impact on your application.

Apply for CEC, Express Entry or Spouse Sponsorship?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... If my understanding is correct, I think you can apply with different categories at the same time, meaning you could file your application with CEC and simultaneously file another application with the Common Law. You can withdraw one of the applications if the...
