    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

You applied inland in May 2011 and its still processing?! Have you called the CIC number? Ordered GCMS notes, or contacted your MP? Something seems very wrong, it should not be taking this long unless there's a big red flag and it went to Etobicoke, or they lost it.

Here we go...Trudeau promising big changes for Family Class Sponsorship

That would be a very positive change. Applying for PR under spousal sponsorship and get approval within a week or something (just criminality check), and then spend the next 2 years doing the rest (relationship, medical, etc) while already a PR. This would solve most of the issues now (can't be...

Here we go...Trudeau promising big changes for Family Class Sponsorship

Since inland applications have a 2 year wait period, he could be talking about either the actual wait to get PR, or the condition. I don't think the condition is a big deal (my spouse has it), and I actually think it does some good. I think the biggest issue with condition 51 is people...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I'm sure they are paying a government employee $80k/year with benefits and a pension plan to manually type out each landing letter. Sometimes they make mistakes with Ctrl+c,Ctrl+v and this is the result, but they'll never be fired.

Just wait until you deal with the health system (in Ontario, at least). Makes immigration look "well run."

    About break in the cohabitation

No offense but if it's on again / off again and you've only been "on" for 3 months this time, maybe... wait a bit? If you apply and it goes "off" again then you have to withdraw and yada yada. Maybe first work on the relationship, and then think about the immigration implications after a year or...

    refugee crisis

The situation in Syria sucks, as it has for years before this mass exodus occured. I feel bad for all those displaced. However, the situation for those who applied 1-2+ years ago and are separated and/or in limbo also sucks, and I don't think any specific refugee claims should be prioritised in...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

LOL if Service Ontario will accept birthday cards, then I definitely will! But knowing the gov, they'd only accept birthday cards with cats on them that play music when opened at 20dB or higher that were made after 2016 and not on planet Earth.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I think this sort of got off-topic from my original point. There's 3 items you require to get OHIP, and one is proof of residency which you can use the driver's license for as indicated (I don't understand why, I can keep my license but not live here...). At the time my spouse didn't have one...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

My "favourite" part about the government's residency requirements proof is that you must have a MAILED credit card / bank statement. So if you have online statements (or no statements) you're SOL. Who the F still gets mailed statements? However, I can say for a fact that "someone" I know may...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

If you can, goto a Service Ontario run by the government. They know how to deal with OHIP for working permits, and thus this situation as well. The one in Aurora Ontario (Bloomington & Yonge) is able to process these kinds of things without issue (my spouse got OHIP with an OWP type 27 from...

    PR Card expiration issue

Aside from the fact that you don't meet the residency requirement, being in Iran for a time that almost directly correlates to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad being in power might raise some flags to the Canadian authorities.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Does it say that under "Sponsorship Application Status", or under "Permanent Residence Application Status"? Mine, which shows both the sponsor and PR as I'm the sponsor, actually never said "Decision Made" under the PR app, instead all I got was an entry: "A decision has been made on XXXXXXXX's...

Pls. Help in need of a miracle for Newly weds

I submitted mine without the marriage certificate and a note it would come later. It did not take 2 weeks, it took 3 months, so it might be something to consider.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

If you search Google for it you'll see a whole pile of binary documents (PDF etc) turn up. I think they are using an automated e-mail process which is supposed to pull some data out of somewhere, and it's bugged and dumping out the binary as Unicode. Go CIC.....

    INLAND SPONSORSHIP, LEAVING THE COUNTRY

OWP (all work permits actually) say in big.letters on them that they don't guarantee entry into into Canada or status. They just authorize you to work.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I think they are just incompetent and the September pile was the closest one to their hand when they reached out for the next file. Don't forget many others have gone through this same nonsense, including myself (they started processing February 2014 before finishing 2013 or Jan 2014).

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I don't think anybody from Sept is rubbing it in your face when they post their update here, they're just excited and see the inland 2014 thread which is the correct place. You can be angry at CIC for no longer following submit date for processing, because it is unacceptable, but don't be mad...
