    It's never a bad idea to apply for a TRV. Good thing is it won't have any negative effect on your PR application. However chances of a TRV approval are very low unless your partner has serious assets in their country. (Ownership of property, business, house etc)

    Yes. Ircc will put a bring forward date of 30 days from the date of the letter they sent to u. Your file will pop up in their queue on January 8th and hopefully an officer will review it on or soon after that date.

    Having lived there for 3 months IRCC could request you to live there for 12 months to establish a common law relationship. Both of you would also have to satisfy the officer that you guys have exhausted all means to try to get annulments of your previous marriages.

    Background check may or may not be completed. Unfortunately you will not know. After receiving pre-arrival DM sometimes follows soon after. However it could still take a few months.

    If the sponsored person is leaving Philippines as a finacee/spouse they need GCP regardless if the sponsor is PR. The PDOS is for emigrants who are being petitioned /sponsored by their parents, siblings, or immediate family. @jddd Where does it say if the sponsor is a PR they must attend PDOS ?
