They don't want pics/medicals for parents or siblings. Those family members only have to be listed on the Additional Family Information form. They DO want them for dependent children however.

I was approved for sponsorship in early Feb. I owed the government for an (apparent) overpayment they had made to me for the BCCAD and Child Tax Credit. Maybe because it was a small amount, they didn't care about it ... but regardless, it wasn't an issue for me.

That's what we did and everything was fine.

Personally, I can't imagine wanting to marry my cousin either, but I guess in some cultures/societies this is normal ...

Confusing and contradictory story ...

My husband and I have a 15-year age gap (he is 23). He is actually 6 years older than my eldest child. Although they questioned him about this in his interview, they didn't seem to really take issue with it.

Just curious ... When did you order your CAIPS? My husband had his interview and received his visa already but we STILL don't have the CAIPS notes we ordered March 24. I guess it doesn't really matter too much now anyways.

My husband's visa was supposed to have been ready the same day, but when he returned for it, it wasn't finished yet. They mailed it to him the following day. Must have been by courier because he received it the following day after that. I don't know if all visa posts operate that way though...

NOT Mississauga. They only process the sponsor's part there. After that the file is transferred to Kenya (or whatever visa post processes applications from Kenya ... I'm not sure).
