Ok is there anyone in this forum who has sposored and sucessfully sponsored while owing back taxes if there is i stand corrected.
Lets post this and we will see if there is and if there is anna i will say im wrong and sorry.

Trust me anna i could be wrong it wont be the first time to stand corrected but i just can not see it but lets see.As for the rest of it me and anna posted the parts that make you unable to be a sponsor.

As I said earlier in the thread, I DID owe money to the government (Revenue Canada) and I WAS approved.

I hope you're wrong because I have a major dispute with the government over a student loan issue where I was forced prematurely into repayment - a screwup with NSLSC. This caused a default, and my loan is now being collected directly by the government. I refuse to pay this debt until the NSLSC corrects their error!!

Somebody else had a student loan issue and had no problem sponsoring.

Ok if your telling me you owed the government back taxes in Canada and you sponsored your spouse then i stand corrected and like i said anna im sorry .but i know when i went to sponsor my wife i paisd all taxes before because i was sure i read you can not owe the government of Canada money.
Well ok then so apply mine already in and its a plus my taxes are paid up lol.
