Common Law Sponsorship - Inland OR Outland (HK)??

I can't give much advice on the common law relationship part, but I do have a few points that I think you shall consider first: 1) You seemed to think the time for living together in the common law relationship tally at the point of approving your PR. Is that what's stated in the definition of...

Did CIC or HKVO give you any indication of receiving the documents after doc request? I am asking because the HK police would only send the certificate directly to HKVO and there is no way to tell if HKVO received or not.

Inform CIC once the baby is born.

Yes, I did both HK police and RCMP because my wife (the applicant) is living with me in Canada right now.

I received police certificate request from the Hong Kong VO in mid-Dec, took fingerprints and applied for background checks immediately and sent the certificates to HKVO by early Jan. Nothing on ecas/mycic changed since then. ::)

Wife pregnant, student visa and no MSP help!

Actually, in December 2016 somethings have changed and it seems both inland and outland both have 12 months of processing time. However, it also removed the expected time for the sponsor approval. I suggest you look in the threads for applications after December 7, 2016 to see if there are any...

Any tips on Outland Sponsorship while in Canada?

Oh wow, thanks. I didn't know they revamped the package for the sponsorship applications. As for my previous post, I am not saying the Sponsor is the main applicant, but the application package is Sponsor driven for outland and the other way around for the inland application.

Wife pregnant, student visa and no MSP help!

I think the TC's wife has msp covered when her student visa is still active. In addition, I doubt any private insurance company would cover any prenatal and delivery costs as they are categorized as "pre-existing conditions". Back to the TC's concerns, there are actually a few ways to go...

Any tips on Outland Sponsorship while in Canada?

Having submitted inland, then withdrawn and resubmitted for outland, I have to say the information required are pretty similar. In some cases, even if some forms are numbered and named differently, essentially they have the same content. However, do not mix up the forms and the way that it is...

Wife pregnant, student visa and no MSP help!

I applied Outland PR for my wife, while she only has a visitor status and still be able to get msp. The only thing you need to convince HIBCa is the applicant's (meaning the sponsored spouse) application will have to be "in process" on ecas or an email from IRCC saying the application is...

My wife just received an email from hkvo requesting the same information, I guess that's the usual practice. Have you found out if you need to get the police certificate from Canada as well?

Use of representative form demanded but no representative used

Who is the applicant and who is the sponsor? And who is this letter addressed to? From your messages and I can be wrong, but it felt to me that you have applied for inland and the application is for the applicant (sponsored person). However, the information you gave probably has a tone of the...

Can I sponsor my husband with no income?

I think as for the the current and past income of the sponsor (YOU), you shall just write $0. However, explain clearly what and how do you plan to sustain your and your husband's living once he is approved to come to Canada. Since technically there is no requirements for minimum income for to...

Hi guys, I just found this forum, after needed to fiddle with the application all by myself :D My application arrived at CPC-M on Oct 21st, SA on Nov 23rd (seems like a lot of people got it on that day), but ECAS still shows sponsor as "in process". Although the applicant part changed to "in...

Can I sponsor my husband with no income?

I have moved back to Canada with my wife this year and I am still trying to find a job suitable for my profession. I attached with my sponsor applicaion some interview invitation emails from potential employers and stated how much money I have to sustain this period and I've got SA a few weeks ago.
