Hey, thanks for the reply. So, 25 days from the 31st would be this past Friday the 25th. It's Monday, so hopefully we will hear anytime now.

The package was returned last month (but multiple pages stamped Accepted 9/16) because I didn't fill out the IMM5406 completely. I am the only one being sponsored (US spouse), so I didn't know I needed to list my entire family on the form.

Other than this - my meds and background check and all other forms and documents are included in my application.

I'm still curious what you didn't fill out on that form. I screwed up and forgot to write in a couple things by hand that didn't fit when typing it but our application was not returned.

FYI to all Quebec sponsorship applicants:

There's a new 'undertaking application form' that takes effect on December 1, 2016. Use this form going forward. I just sent my application today for Quebec sponsorship so I was able to use the old form. Hoping the processing time doesn't take as long as the website says!

Oh good catch! Mine also went out this morning so hopefully I don't have to worry about it. So now that all that is done... what happens next for us October applicants who have gotten SA and AOR2 or its equivalent? Will they continue to update myCIC or eCAS? Do we just keep checking our email waiting for something about Decision Made or Passport Requests? I haven't looked into what happens now lol.

Hey - we still haven't heard anything... We also tried linking our app using your directions.... tried both our names, tried using 2 and 1 for number of applicants. We are so concerned after our app was returned last month. Zero correspondence from them at all... for months now... it's so tiring.

It should be sponsored spouse's information.. Try this combination, didn't work for me but this has helped others:

Not mine. Credit goes to the owner.

"1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name. If you don't have App Number, use Family Name, Birthday, Place of Birth
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application."


How many days have passed since you filed your app the second time? Try giving them a call.

Hey! I just got off the phone with a representative from CIC and I have great news!!!!! They said they began processing Nov 10th, and this morning approved my sponsor (wife's) application for spousal sponsorship.

He told me we should get an email / letter from them with both confirmations in 5-10 days.

So.... now I must figure out how to link the app and get my profile updated here.

Finally! I cannot express my joy today ))

Hi, I just found this place. I wish I had found it sooner. What a nightmare this whole ordeal has been. Anyway I just updated the spreadsheet. Unfortunately I did not keep track of when Ecas switched to in process.

Also I was able to link the mycic, however it was linked to an old TRV application for my spouse. Now it doesnt have any information other than In processing for the SA. Gah!

How long does it take CIC to update the online portal? My AOR1 receive date in 17 Nov. I'm still waiting for SA. Is the On-Line Service updated immediately or there's a delay?
