I don‘t think you have to worry about this. If you go on the first page of this thread, you‘ll see that information about security is apparently not disclosed under section 15 of the Access to Information Act. Eagle333 (the user that started this thread) explains in the first post of this thread that if S.15(1) appears in your notes (together with an example of what it looks like), this means that security is completely done. I assume you requested the notes under the Privacy Act. Look at S.21 of the Privacy Act and S.15 of the Access to Information Act. They look pretty similar to me. I hope this helps.

Ok thanks for this. Does that mean that the background check and security check are done? At what stage of the application process is this usually done? (I applied in beginning of November 2019)

I don’t know. We’re just going through the same inland family sponsorship process at the moment and I remembered reading something about S.15 in this thread. Maybe other more senior members know more about this.

We also have ORG: BLUE but haven't been able to figure out what it means. I think most people have green, so maybe it's some kind of flag? Our file is in Mississauga though, which generally doesn't process the complicated cases.

Our security checks have started - quite a bit of redacted materials and have the following:

This to me would indicate they've started security checks.

However, eligibility has not started:

Final:

I find that most people have eligibility started before security, so it's a bit strange.

Our next due date under Application Assignment is March 21, so I will request GCMS again right after that, and probably CBSA and CSIS as well since security seems to be what's holding the application back right now.

Two questions on notes in GCMS I have come across that I'd love to know what they mean:

-ORG: BLUE
-INFORMATION FOR REVIEW: Relevant NCB for PA

The second one I'm guessing means relevant national criminal board for principle applicant but only a guess.

There's also repeated use in file review notes (from a program assistant) saying 'promoted.' Any idea what promoted means in this context? Note, these are from review notes that seem to have taken place close to the date of receipt at the processing office in Nova Scotia.

Oof. Just ordered mine this morning (our GCKEY/ECAS still show ''We did not receive the results of your required medical exam'' despite the physician submitting it through eMedical on January 3rd)... 90 days brings us to August 23rd! Hopefully the process speeds up a bit once they reopen, but I won't hold my breath! haha

We are Inland and have not done the medical yet (it has not been requested yet) The only thing that I can see is that it says is that they are processing the Back Ground Check. That's the only thing that has been worked on in our file/case so far.

Good morning guys.. I'm February 2nd AOR and I received my GCMS notes few months back and it is on review required. I do not understand where the case analyst got his conclusions from..
Also nothing was said about A11.2, R75 or R76 just summary notes

I got my third GCM NOTES, last two more than 50 pages,this time got 19 pages, they write in GCM NOTES " Page 8 is withheld pursuant to section 19(1) of the access to information act, pls anyone know meaning, help me, they did not send eligibility, admissibility, criminality, medical, history applications status, online case status mostly section

We got our notes few days ago and application status says On Hold and reason More information required. Mind you, we never got any requests for more information or any papers or anything. Last time we heard from them was in December and we're November applicants.
Did anyone else get that?
I know what on hold means but what does it mean for them?
