We got CoPR today! We're officially done! We're going to mail back a copy of it tomorrow so they can send us the card, and start prepping for our move to Quebec! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! FINALLY! :D

So... We FINALLY got some good news! Medicals got approved, a whole NINE MONTHS after they were submitted! Woohoo!

You're right about them designing their system in a specific way/aiming to avoid public contact as much as possible. It's completely unacceptable, especially the fact that when you do reach out to them (phone/Webform), the agents are extremely poorly trained and often give out false information...

Honestly, I don't understand how come their staff is still given time off due to COVID. The whole situation started six months ago. Literally every other business or ministry has figured out efficient ways to resume their operations. Why is IRCC still working with bare-bones staffing?! Do they...

It's not. FB posts are great proof, IMO. They're what I used for my photo requirements. They're timestamped, have captions showing a context, and comments from friends and family showing your relationship is genuine and common knowledge.

It's honestly infuriating. We've been so incredibly patient, but it's been 8 months... I'm happy for everybody getting their DMs and COPRs, I really am... But I don't understand why the heck we haven't gotten even an AIP. It's like our application has fallen through the cracks somewhere.

Just a quick update (but not really)... Medicals still showing as "not received" despite having been sent through eMedical January 3rd 2020. No AIP, no DM, no COPR. Our date was August 2nd 2019. Our MP has reached out to IRCC, and has only been told "Still no updates since you last...
