    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

There was a ghost update a couple of days ago for my PR card application. No changes. The Ottawa office received my photos end of September.

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

Did anybody send their PR card photos to the Ottawa office and receive any updates? It seems like it really depends what your responsible IRCC office is for PR card processing. Some are taking longer, some are faster.

You can select “change of status”. I received my new SIN within 8 days.

Regular mail. They wouldn’t send SIN numbers via email.

I can confirm that my letter only asked for one photo as well. That was Ottawa IRCC. I put both in the envelope anyways. I have no need for the second one and if they don’t want it they can just throw it out ;-)

Received it yesterday. Took exactly one week!

Congratulations! That’s fantastic news and I’m really happy for you! Regarding OHIP, maybe just wait until you get COPR. You’d have to go there again anyways after you receive COPR to update your status. For me, COPR followed shortly after AIP.

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

I think you quoted me out of context, or maybe I should have said “I don’t know if people have ever landed in Canada without seeing an officer in person before the COVID disruptions”. At the moment, people do become PRs w/o landing interviews. From what I’ve read, some people were seeing their...

Since it’s just a PDF file, every print out would be a copy. I don’t know if they have already thought of what would happen during citizenship applications or PR renewals, but they will probably have a process in place by the time the first COVID impacted PRs start applying for it ;-) Those are...

If they have your email, they will not send you anything via regular mail. You should receive an email soon confirming you are a PR. In the meantime, you could get some photos taken for your PR card (they can't be older than 6 months). You will have to send your COPR document together with a...

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the reason is as follows: The COPR has to be signed by either an officer at an IRCC office (inland) or an officer at the POE (outland). I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think outland applicants actually receive their COPR via mail, take it to the POE, and...

Thanks for letting me know. I just linked the PR card app to GCKey. I sent the photo to IRCC NHQ in Ottawa. How about you?

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

Give them a couple of days. They sent a COPR document to me via email AND uploaded it to GCKey. The document was listed on GCKey a couple of hours before it was actually uploaded/sent out.

Good morning, I just wanted to give you a brief update. Since I have received my COPR, I have - Applied for OHIP. This is possible with your COPR, one proof of residence document (like utility bill, rental contract, tax documents) and an identity document (passport, driver’s licence...). If...

I have paid 1,040$. I assume you paid the biometrics fee of 85$. As an inland applicant who applied before the December deadline, you should be exempt from the biometrics requirement and receive a refund.

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

We just received SA and AIP within 5 minutes from each other. I also received a separate letter asking me to pay the RPRF. I paid 1040$ back then. That should include the RPRF, correct? I’m so thankful for all the help and encouragement from the people on this forum and wish you all the best for...

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

The last official communication was that I passed the medical exam in April. According to GCMS notes, my application is pre-screened and "ready for decision maker". I didn't get a fingerprint request. That was end of July. I had a ghost update two weeks ago. That's it. We tried calling but we...

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

Congratulations to all of you receiving SA and AIP. I still haven’t heard back (Oct 23). What annoys me is that eligibility is not even in progress. Does that mean that my app is just on some pile and nobody has even looked at it?

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

That's correct. Our application was pre-screened (according to the GCMS notes) and our app is "ready for decision maker". Maybe some officers at CPC Mississauga are faster than others, I don't know.
