Hey Dear,
There is no waiting period as long as you have been a resident of Ontario for more than a year prior to your change in status and you have a job, you should be given OHIP as soon as you get your COPR and you can renew your SIN the next day as it takes 24hrs for your status to update in their system.
For the OHIP, they would request your COPR, a letter of Employment from your Job, A Driver's License or Passport for Identity Purposes and would take a picture of you present to reassign you a new OHIP.

I am studying now, so I don’t have an Employment letter. Do you have any advice by any chance? or maybe I just have to wait for 3 months
Thanks for this info, I've been wondering myself. Have you already applied for your OHIP? Did you do it right after the interview when you obtained COPR? They told you there was no wait period and you are eligible right away for OHIP? My situation is a bit different, I have been living in Toronto 7 years already, at this point I have been employed since I received my OWP, so roughly 3 months. Will I be eligible for OHIP right away?
Yes!! I was even advised to get my OHIP right away but my SIN had to be gotten the following day so they can assign me a new SIN. I believe that should be fine. As long as you have you are employed in Ontario and have been a resident more than a year. You should be able to get your OHIP.
If you have been living in Ontariofor more than a year and you have your COPR, then you should be able to get an OHIP. My advise would be to go there regardless and apply for one and they can tell you if you are eligible or not and what documents are required.
In my case I was asked to give employment letter because I am working and no longer a student, proof of residency and identity document like passport. If you are an international student, you do not qualify for it. If you have only been living here for just under a year, then you would have to wait three months.
It was great 3 questions if you commit a crime in or out of Canada ? If you were refuse entry into Canada? Any other dependents outside of Canada!? Thats it but some people were ask date of entry in Canada and airport!
With you, I only received SA on February 10th, other brothers received both SA and AIP, even DM.
I went for my landing interview yesterday. Got there around 10:20am and finished about 12:30pm. As most people have said, super busy and we had to stand in a waiting area for around 2 hours.
Asked us a few questions. When did I first enter Canada, when was my last entry in to Canada, if I had any criminal convictions, had I ever been refused entry to Canada.
Then presented with COPR and was told the physical card will arrive in 2 - 4 weeks. There's a service canada in the building to switch over SIN but at the time we were done there was around 20 - 30 people in the lineup so we went to a location closer to us instead.

The application has been transferred to the local office. The application time will be longer, but you will get APR in the end. Please be assured.
