Please share your experience about Criminal Rehabilitation application in 2017

Today I got an email from Sydney office.
It says that my file is with a visa officer for review.pr file.
They will contact me when further documents or information are required.
Not sure if it is a good sign or bad.
So stressed at the moment.

Got acknowledgement letter on the 8th of November as per my lawyer.

Sad ehh... my lawyer told me 2-8 month processing time. So i will prepare for 8 months wait.

Sent application via certified mail to New York Consulate and it was received this morning. Will update with any news. 1 offense, Felony Theft, that would be classified as Serious Criminality under Canadian Law, dating back to September 2010.

Does anyone know average processing times for New York office?
