Congratulations! Hope we all get the good news soon.
Can you please let us know where you applied from? I'm guessing usa. Also, did you apply for GCMS notes? Mind sharing your charges. Thank you in advance.

Did they ask for additional fees right before sending you the CR approval?

Since March last year. I was asked for additional fees about a month ago so that was a little exciting as it felt they were working on it. However, others that were asked for additional fees, received a decision in 2 weeks or less. Fingers crossed.

Yes you Ll receive a decision soon hopefully….
I was in the process of Pr application when they requested for rehabilitation.. so maybe it’s part of the reasons mine didn’t take so long

We submitted the file online. We were told the standard processing time of 12 to 18 months. They just have to do better. We don't mind paying extra so they can shorten the processing times. Our time is far more precious than paying extra money.

Awww this means they Ll utilise the timeline stated… they gave me a timeline of 3to 4 months and that was exactly what it took

I've been reading the posts in this forum to see what others have been experiencing as far as the process of Criminal Rehabilitation, as I've been impatiently awaiting a decision on my application.

I thought I would share my experience, hoping that it may help others, or at least provide some guidance and hope.
I'm in the US and sent in my imm1444e application packet in April 2023. It was sent to the Consulate General of Canada in NY City. I received my approval letter via email today, so 18 months total. My inadmissibility was based on three DUI/DWAI offenses between 1985 and 1991.
I initially had a free consultation with an attorney who specialized in these cases, but decided to undertake the process myself.

Hi
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m in USA too waiting for my husband’s CR also. We applied on July 2023 but received AOR on August. Same consulate. Are counting the 18 months since you applied or since AOR?
