yes, wishful thinking:) It depends more on how easy it is to obtain the information for applicant and what career the applicant has been doing so that they can evaluate. For all the countries that applicant traveled, if the visit is less than 6 months, he/does doesn't even need to provide police certificate on criminality check.
Wow, I never ever thought that the career would also be evaluated! Lol...She has been working for IT companies for 6 years, so would they actually reconcile if the work history is true and not furnished?

Definitely it is going to be easier. Some special careers such as secret service, intelligence etc. are going to be much harder as they may have national security concerns.

Hi Everyone,

We received an update! PA is from the US and I, the Sponsor, am from Canada. Here is our updated timeline:

  • Application sent off on December 13th
  • Application received on December 17th, 2018
  • AOR Received: February 16th, 2019
  • Sponsor Approval: February 22nd
  • Medical Requested: February 22nd

I can’t believe that I got SA and we got the medical request in the same day?! I was expecting a week between each.

For SA, I am still waiting for the email but I did see “Decision Made” on ECAS this morning, which I know means that I’m approved as a Sponsor.

Hi! If it's decision made and there was medical request, it's 99.999% (honestly: 100) approval. Or else there wouldn't be a MD :)

Decision Made means that the Sponsor has been approved :). The email confirming just takes a while to be sent out as it’s automated or sent in large batches of approvals, I think.

Man i feel some weight of my shoulders at the same time i can't be there with my wife incase she has any issues getting for her medical exam. What if that physician doesn't use eMedical system what then its the only one in her country.

Are you from Poland? Sorry if I've mistaken the flag with another country. Ok, first thing first, I've never heard about doctors not using eMedical, even a few years ago. They should send reports on their own, and as far as I know they're somehow certified by IRCC to do the exams, so they should have everything for that. Second, she can theoretically go to other countries (even though I remember you saying she's not very good in English). But I believe it won't be your case. If you're worried about it, I'd say you can call the physician and talk to them on your own. Get all the details, and then your wife will go for an exam.

If your wife is in Warsaw, there will be no stress with pan Marek for sure. And he use eMedical.
Anyway, as @alaria wrote, call to clinic and clarify everything

Question on the biometrics part of the application - we've already received, AOR, SA, and Medical Request - but no request for biometrics yet. Is this normal, or is it possible we are not required to do this step? PA is a USA/Australian citizen. Seems like many of you received the biometrics request before the Medical.

Couple of my friends are from Poland and then had no issues with the medical. I think you have more than 4-5 options in Warsaw and Krakow. So pretty much sure that most of them do eMedicals. If not let me know and I can ask my friends.

I am pretty sure USA citizens dont need to provide their Biometrics.
Btw this is a good link to check if Biometrics is required or not: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

From what I have read, For spousal sponsorship I dont think career of the PA matters. They do digging at employment for someone claiming points for express entry pr. (They do ask for work history of PA for spousal but dont ask for any employment letter etc).
