Couple of my friends are from Poland and then had no issues with the medical. I think you have more than 4-5 options in Warsaw and Krakow. So pretty much sure that most of them do eMedicals. If not let me know and I can ask my friends.
Shes not in Poland, she lives in Skopje Macedonia

Hey friends,

My hubby (PA) is having medical this coming week... I’m just curious if anyone has a concrete answer or link as to whether he needs a chest X-Ray?

The MR letter from IRCC doesn’t say anything about a chest X-Ray, and when he called the panel physician they booked him without an X-Ray and didn’t say he needed one?

Any concrete documentation available to clarify whether he does or doesn’t?

PA is American, MR being done in Australia.

Yes, a chest X-Ray is needed with your medical and they should have booked him in for one.

Edit:
It’s on the CIC website:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/medical-exams/requirements-permanent-residents.html#exam

It does mention age there though, I’ve just had mine yesterday and had an X-Ray and I beleive it’s common practice for adults.

Thanks for the reply!

Do you happen to know if this is documented anywhere? It’s just odd that neither the instructions from IRCC nor the clinic would outline that this is necessary...

I edited my original post but yes it’s on CIC’s Medical section. As I said in my edit it states it depends on age but I’m under 30 and required one still.

For reference,

This is all that I’m finding on the Canada gov’t site, which says “you may require an X-Ray”...

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/medical-exams/requirements-permanent-residents.html#pay
It states:

Depending on your age, you may be asked to do chest x-rays
I was informed before my medical that anybody over the age of 11 required an X-ray. It also states this on the website of the physician I used.

Thanks - I guess I’ll have to call the clinic again before the appointment and confirm.

My husband is certainly over 11 years old haha. Frustrating that none of our documentation actually requests an x-ray, but I guess that’s kind of par for the course in this process!

From what I’ve read, and been informed by a couple of veteran folk on this site who’ve been through the process. The chest X-Ray is used to check for diseases such as TB.

I certainly think calling the clinic and confirming with them is your best option. The last thing you want to do is have CIC turn around and request you to go back in for one.

It makes me nervous like y’all taking your medical

24 December lol
You’re still well within the target of 2-3 months.

The current average for AOR1 on the tracker for December is 57 days so you’re only 4 days behind that. My application took 69 days, which was 4 days over November’s average of 65.

I really wouldn’t worry till you surpass 90 days without AOR.
