hey guys I got mail from cic about update in my application. I checked my account and here are the changes that I have noticed:

1. "You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date." added in application status section.
   
2. UCI number has changed from CAN.... to 111....
3. Estimated remaining processing time has dropped to 4 months.
4. "Review of medical results We are reviewing the results of your medical exam." Since I am waiting for sputum results I know that my medical exam process has not finished yet. So MEP has changed from no medical needed to reviewing medical exam.
   
   
5. Biometric collection letter received.
6. Background check still seems in progress. It is same from the begining.

ETA 4 months.

I feel like that first line is a polite way of saying to everyone, please don't ask for updates as they slow everything down.....
Good step with the MEP, my AOR is Dec 26th so hoping for an update in the next couple of days

My bad. I thought the last line was part of it. And I’ve always said NOC as “nock”. Sorry about that!

It turns out, I'm actually in IP2 (or so it would seem).

We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Don't recall seeing this change at any point so can't say for sure whether it's been this since the start. Wasn't aware there was a wording difference

I am in the same situation, it went from not applicable directly to this one sometime in January (a few days before MEP), without notifying me by email or anything. But from what i understand on the forum, those Background Check status are not what they used to be since biometrics have been implemented so trying not to read too much into it, but now that Medical is passed and Biometrics submitted we have little to check the progress of the application. :-(
