They offer 2 options. One is scanning or taking a picture of the physically signed form. The other option is taking a picture of your signature and then using Adobe (or presumably Mac) tools to insert that signature into the form and then saving it. I did the former using the PDF scanning...

You have to have an individual invitation code so there’s not going to be anywhere for you to sign up on the portal without it.

Mine was virtual. If you get in-person, you will get a paper certificate, even if you selected e-certificate.

He doesn't like me because I pointed out he's a really negative person who is barely intelligible in English. I got the instructions long ago. But the portal still doesn't have my certificate available and it says to check 2-5 business days after they received the signed oath form. I got my oath invitation email the day before the tracker updated oath to in progress.

No updates in the tracker after the ceremony and my e-certificate isn't available yet.

Just checked: "Your e-Certificate is not available. Please try again 2-5 business days after you provided your signed Oath of Citizenship."

You're a really funny dude. But I'll entertain it briefly. For instance, if you want to apply for a passport, you need the original paper certificate, or just a printout of the e-certificate.

I disagree. e-Certificate is better. You can't lose or damage it since you can back it up in the cloud, on USB sticks multiple computers, etc. You never have to "replace" it for any reason. You just print a new copy. That is why I opted for e-certificate.
