Yeah. Difficult to guess how they work. I am behind you by a month and so far medical done on 23rd Nov and Pre-arrival letter sent on 17th Nov.

I waited for so long, then i sent them a webform in regards to know, where is my file lost on oct 29. Then finally, i received file number on nov 01.

Now we are clear they don't upload everybody's info, however work may be continuous on the background!

With pre-arrival U R much better far ahead of many of us.Pre-arrival comes when they are very sure to give a VISA..
Somehow I have feeling that they keep in mind the very 1st file received DATE.

Let’s see when it’s coming. I heard that they send pre arrival letter if you passed eligibility. For now, Waiting for Medical passed status change and VO transfer if any. File still at Sydney Though with background check in progress.

july 30 applicant, no aor. Does anyone know why its taking them 4 months for a simple acknowledgement ?

I have been a silent viewer of this thread for a long while. My application was received on july 30 but we havent received an aor yet. Does anyone know why its taking them incredibly long to send an acknowledgement?

You can ask them via webform. That's what i did, after 2-3days i got aor

OUR file is stuck at SYDNEY for many days now. Don't know when this file will be moved to NDVO. 1 thing 4 sure it is going to NDVO as per my experience. I told her to keep on working even small salary as I have no confirmed time frame 4 future just a guess as I give to others.If it goes out in DEC , NDVO will take 3-5 months minimum, may be more !

How long they take to check BGC ?

It depends on the third party which is responsible for criminality and security checks. It is not done by visa offices.

It is not mandatory. Because, one of my friend's file was processed in mississuaga only. She never received anything like xfer to nvdo.

You never know as you can get a direct PPR from Sydney Office without any transfer. Best wishes.

Call them to ask! You might get Temporary File Number as well.
