For WES evaluation, do I need to have both Bachelor’s degree and Law degree assessed or just the Law degree? Or if I have a Master’s degree, just the MA or both MA and Bachelor’s degree? TIA.
for WES, you need to send Bachelors and Masters both.

Some of my docs are in regional language.. as per CIC these should be translated into English from certified translator...
1.Who is the certified translator in India?

I used https://3ade.in/. They are good. Charged 1000 Rs per certificate and they are certified as well.

They will translate and notarize as well in this cost.

Thanks @mr.preetsingh . As per CIC site If doc is not in English, you must send it with:
  • the English or French translation and
  • an affidavit from the person who completed the translation and
  • a certified photocopy of the original document
Do they provide all these things? Thanks.

The correct response should be:

A) If your spouse has CANADIAN work experience and you are claiming CRS points for that, then yes of course you will have to provide reference letters.
B) If your spouse does not have CANADIAN work experience then you can not even claim points for her, and while filling PR application, do not mention about her job. Just mention house wife or home maker or unemployed. Because, if you are going to mention employed in personal history, then the VISA office may ask for reference letters.
Can anybody else please help with your suggestion? Here's a deadlock it seems and I am in a fix.

Hi,

I worked for an SAT, GRE test prep private company (The Princeton Review) for over a year as a verbal trainer. I then switched to another organization where I teach IELTS in addition to verbal part of the SAT. Both these organization are privately run and are registered.

My questions:

A) Would NOC code 4021 be appropriate for my profession?

B) Would my work be accepted by CIC? I am apprehensive about this. With a 441 CRS, I am hopeful of an ITA soon.

C) What shall be the title of my jobs? Would Verbal Trainer work? Additionally, shall the title match what's in the NOC list of titles?

I have obtained CLB 10 scores, if that's relevant. My ielts scores: L -8.5, R -8, W-7.5, S-8.5 ( I shared these because the visa officer may see these relevant to my profession).

Please help me with this conundrum. Also share experiences of anyone with similar background who obtained the PR.
I am yet to find anyone.

Thanks a ton.

I have a question. My birth certificate has a different name than the rest of my documents, including my passport, higher secondary and college certificates. I had my name changed in 2006, with only the gazette newspaper as proof for the name change. Should I write up an affidavit for the name change, or is submitting the newspaper scan copy enough for the proof of name change?

You can apply PR for your family and mention them non-accompanying.
OR
You can apply PR for whole family, first you land in Canada after settling, bring them.

Thanks for your response. So, should the affidavit be signed off by a notary public? or should I just write a letter about the name change and sign it myself?
Notarized...

Hi All,

I have started my CIC application. Here are my details. Please help me out.
My age is 28, I have done BSc which is equivalent to Canadian 4 years degree, Earned 1 year Diploma from Canadian University. My IELTS Score is L-7.5,R-6,W-6.5,S-7. Also, have 4 years of experience in 2281 NOC. I have one uncle residing in Alberta.

While making my profile(CIC application) my CRS comes out to be 362 however when I calculate using CRS calculator it turns out to 397. Where I am getting wrong. Please advise.

Seems like the points for sibling might not have been taken into account- can you please recheck?
