No need to submit anything - I didn’t do anything for my wife or myself and got our OCIs in hand. Submission was late November.

Yeah it’s a form of encryption I suppose- it does yield the right results however.

11 Nov submitted at BLS Brampton, 29 Dec approved with OCI number so it takes around a month and a half.

You need a surrender certificate to apply for OCI so that adds to the timelines as well.

Let me be honest - just glue it back in. I did that with the surrendered passport and travelled quite a few times (Gorilla Glue is quite effective).

Seems like the OCI folks read our venting posts here lol. Date of submission - 18 Nov Date of acknowledgement- 8 Dec Date processed - 29 Dec Now waiting for wife and kids’ OCI progress to be accelerated. Next year, by God’s grace, we embark on our next adventure in life (by March)- L1A status...

I did at Brampton on 18 Nov, 25 Nov, and 26 Nov and was not asked - 18 Nov for myself, 25 Nov for wife and 2 kids, and 26 Nov for the 3rd kid :)

This is the biggest difference between BLS Toronto and Brampton - for months (and to be honest years now), Brampton doesn’t ask for Indian passports with OCI whilst Toronto continues to ask.

Either way, health care in Ontario is in shambles, and it doesn’t matter if there is a 3 month period or not lol. Doug Ford didn’t do anything for healthcare workers and left them to rot.

Don’t think so- I’m sitting here at 18 Nov submission and 8 December Date of Acknowledgment and my wife/kids are at 25 Nov with just the usual update that everything is under process. They’ve definitely slowed down.

There is no waiting period any longer and you’re entitled to access to healthcare from Day 1 in Ontario.

Like I said, I had my appointment last week - got the dates the prior week on a Friday.

There is no more walk-ins atleast here at the Brampton/Toronto location effective 16 November 2022.

Nope it wasn’t required and I submitted mine last week along with my spouse (who is also a full time employee).

Nope and I got my citizenship in late June with a ticket ! Classic example.

Yep I got my passports in a week and said I’ve urgent travel.
