Hi guys,

I would like to seek advice from all the senior folks here. I am a PR and getting married in december this year and think about the fastest way of bringing my wife here.

I was thinking i will ask my wife to apply for a visitor visa along with her family in octobor begining. She and her family has past travel history to few countries, so o am assuming she should be fine on that. My question is, if she gets a visitor visa say in Nov and we get married in dec and we apply for her PR in dec, will her visitor visa be still be valid. If she gets visitor visa, shall we apply from india or after she comes to canada?

Another plan is she alone will apply for visitor visa in october disclosing that she wants to visit her boyfriend. Then is she gets it in Nov, we will get married in dec and apply for PR in dec. We can come back together.

Or shall she apply for visitor visa now disclosing that we want to get married. Then we do civil marry here the next month and apply for her PR and she goes back. Then we marry in dec and hopefully she will get her PR by feb march next year.

If there is any other rejection proof way please share.

Blessings and good luck to everybody.

Regards

January applicants still stuck in mississauga? dammm sounds like there is a problem there.
There are a few of us who are stuck in Mississauga. I'm a FEB outland applicant and most of us are from the US..We've all called quite a few times and we're all told the same things..
"Everything fine, you just have to wait for a transfer"
"Mississauga has everything they need. they're just waiting to transfer you."
But I guess yesterday a girl was told, "We're processing some of the applications differently and yours needs to stay in Mississauga a bit longer."

Which is total crap.. let us know if we've been chosen to be processed differently.

Nope! You're not alone! January 10th applicant here. Singapore VO. Just got medical request and background check in progress on July 24th 2017. There are also lots of people left on January tab that haven't gotten DM yet (although I think some of those just haven't been updating their timeline)! If you haven't already put your timeline, this is the best spreadsheet since it is for all of 2017, all in the same format, so easier to compare to other months and average processing time, etc!

Jan 16th applicant here. App in Mississauga and no update since Feb. Called a couple of weeks Aho and was told the same as others, 'we have everything, sit tight'.

Got a job in Victoria, BC. Senior Mechanical Engineer/Team Lead. Starting date Sep 12, or whenever Immigration Canada is done with my application...

Hi
on ECAS status visible medical received .

It means they receive medical online or on the basis of courier receipt that they received.

Confusion arise because we send our documents ( background declaration, photo, PCC, medical receipt) in June.

More than 1 month passed then we request to MP and MP confirm that Delhi office did not received courier yet.
But courier tracking status shown delivered in next day.

Please help or suggest....

Is there a January spreadsheet?

And here is the 2017 outland link.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...wZbXo73hsxoXaLSJ5-tcm7qnJI/edit#gid=515762555

I much prefer the 2017 outland spreadsheet, since the January 2017 link is often (and currently) messed up from ppl filtering to only have New Delhi VO applications, and since it is view only, the filter can't be removed...

The 2017 outland link has a tab for just January 2017 so you can see how January people are doing and our average processing times. But, it also includes all other months, so it also tracks the average processing times so you get a feeling how things are moving across the board. (A feature was also just added to allow you to see the average processing time for your particular VO across all of 2017, so that will also be really helpful once the formulas are all finished.) Furthermore, the January tab is "locked" so ppl can't filter it and mess it up which is a really nice bonus. You just add your information into the "temp" tab and the owner will happily update your information in the January tab within the day.
