Has anyone whose file is in the New Delhi visa office received PPR or COPR?

If it's any consolation, I am in the same boat. (my application was sent 28 February). Everything complete except background verification.

I think it's ridiculous that a background check should take SOO long, especially when you have to submit police clearance certificates up front anyway. Funny how it doesn't take them long to process payments though.

Family class (outside Canada and for outside Quebec) application submitted on Feb 10, 2024.
Received AOR on March 2, 2024
Biometrics done on March 26, 2024
Medical passed on March 30, 2024

And after that there has been no update. The IRCC processing time say 10 months but it has been close to 11 months now.
I'm now starting to worry why is this taking too long.

On the application status tracker site it say
Eligibility: Not Started
Background Verification: In Progress
And it has been like that since March.

Is there something I can do? I feel like something is up with the application.

Any suggestion/help is greatly appreciated.

Sponsor is a Canadian national and living in Canada.

AOR for PR under family class sponsorship application for my wife living in Pakistan received on 23 Jan 2025.
Biometrics and Medical has already been done a month ago.
Can someone tell me how much more time is required to get visa.my wife want to come Canada early and want to apply for visit visa. How can she convince visa Officer to leave Canada before expiry of visa. She doesn't own any assets in Pakistan and her parents are dead.

I tried to call IRCC a few weeks ago to check the status of my application but it just confirmed (by automated message) what I can see already see on my file. I'm not even sure it's worth ordered GCMS notes as I doubt it will provide any further info. I think my case is fairly straightforward too.

Has anyone got to the passport request stage yet??
