You need to give biometrics again. If you already paid fees and sent webform for fees receipt, just wait for few more days . Once officer working on your application check that , you will get BIL . This process can take few more weeks . If there is no separate column for biometrics fees receipt, then send it through webform .
I did the same - submitted it through webform. But there was action required in my application and status was not showing submitted - so I check additional and submitted document tab, where they have provided transmit button. (However, there was no tab to submit any documents - instead they have mentioned that no additional documents required) so I transmitted my application and then status changed to Submitted. So did I mistake anything here?

Not an issue. Just send documents through Webform.

Hi!

I was asked to provide my updated CV and military record in September. I did right away.

Now I received an update (after 40 days roughly):

Activity status updated: Background verification
Background verification
Background verification status has been updated to In progress.

I wonder what does it mean? Is it that my background has started a new phase? And how much longer would it take? (Having said, the expected waiting time has already passed)

Hi,
It depends on which country you're from.
between 6 months to unlimited time that's gonna be take if your security type is comprehensive.

I've submitted on June 14, 2023 and after got my GCMS notes I realized that all stages done except security.
request your ATIP notes and then you can make a decision to MANDAMUS.

Good luck.

Very Very newbie here. i applied under OINP Employer Job Offer Stream - Foreign Workers and submitted to IRCC on Aug 1, does anyone have any ideas on timelines or what comes next?

Hello @Miss bee

I am the primary applicant- I received the portal request. However, my spouse also received it. He is my dependent.

I replied to my portal request by including his information too and stating I’m acting on behalf of my dependent.

I wonder if my spouse should reply too?

No, your spouse does not need to reply separately if you already included their information in your reply and indicated that you are acting on their behalf. As the principal applicant, you are allowed to provide information for your dependents.
However, to ensure clarity, make sure you:
1. Explicitly mention in your response that you are responding on behalf of your dependent (your spouse).
2. Provide their full name, UCI, and application number (if requested) in your reply to avoid any confusion.
3. Follow any specific instructions outlined in the portal request email.
If IRCC needs additional information or a separate response from your spouse, they will let you know. For now, your comprehensive reply should suffice.

Hi everyone,

I applied for the BOWP on July5, 2024 with my husband, , and they sent the correspondence letter to both of us on November 14, 2024, stating the biometrics validity. My husband received approval letter on November 15. In my GC key account, I see a date as November 14 beside the Final decision but it says "your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made". What does it mean? My husband was my dependent and he got the approval letter but i have not received approval in my GC key account yet.

Is there anybody here to have the same experience?

As per timelines and trend you might get your AOR in second week of December with the follow ups that what to do next from IRCC.

Good day @Miss bee,

I recently sent a webform to IRCC inquiry about not receiving my Biometric Instruction Letter and after few days of sending webform, I made call to them. While calling IRCC the lady prompted me to check very well that it was sent but promised that they will send me another copy. After the call, I login to my email, I checked the other email received with the AOR and I found it, so I quickly booked and went for the Biometric. The next day the tracker was updated Biometric Completed.

Today, I received email from IRCC as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided; however, we require further information in order to access the file.

In order to better assist you, we invite you to resubmit your request by including the following information in a letter of explanation and uploading it in the IRCC Web form:

  • Surname and complete given name (including middle name, if applicable) - exactly as they appear on the passport or identity document,
  • Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD),
  • Client ID Number, UCI or Application Number,
  • Country of birth,
  • Type of application,
  • Date on which the application was submitted or received,
  • Mailing method (courier, Canada Post (registered or regular mail), etc.),
    • company used,
    • confirmation no.,
  • Complete address (including the postal code and the unit number) where the application was sent,
  • Receipt number,
  • Current address,
  • Telephone number(s),
  • Email address, and
  • All documents submitted with your previous request."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the content of my Webform:

" I recently received an email confirming the acknowledgment of my Permanent Residence Application. However, upon logging in with my GCKey, I noticed that the Biometric Instruction Letter was not included. Could you kindly confirm whether this means I am not required to submit biometrics, as my application tracker indicates that biometrics are necessary and to be provided on a the specified date in BIL? Additionally, I would appreciate clarification on whether a medical test result is required for my application or the one I submitted is sufficient. "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My question/concern is that do I have to respond to this email noting that Biometric has been done? Although I have not received Medical Instruction but I submitted the previous one I did while coming to Canada. Is it normal to ignore and no penalty for such or processing delay for such?

Apology for the long thread.

Thank you very much.

Reminder @Miss bee . Please assist

Ignore this email. If you already did medical before and did provided proof or E- medical sheet in application, you can skip mew medical request.

Hi @Miss bee ,
Hope you’re having a pleasant evening!

I received P1 yesterday, which I replied almost immediately with my (PA) and my husband’s information.
I did not provide that level of clarity you mentioned a few comments above, however, I’m willing to do that if you think it’s important.
Today I logged in to the tracker and saw that we already have a COPR number and expiring date.
Is that normal having the COPR number available in the tracker one day after replying P1 email?
Thanks a million! And thanks for all your support up to now! :)

There is no certain format to reply to that email. Simply mention everything they asked for step wise step and you will get ECOPR. If you see COPR number on tracker , this is a good sign and means portal 2 is on way .

Hello @Miss bee, good morning .
Thank you for always answering questions very nicely and carefully.

I have a question, may be some one has asked already but couldn't find it..

1st) If a primary applicant who got the nomination from OINP under foreign worker stream lost his job and didn't receive AOR yet.
What will happen in this case?

Nomination is not valid any more and our application will be rejected?

2) if primary applicant lost his job after AOR.
Will IRCC still process the PR application or it will be placed on hold or cancelled?

Thank you.
We are in very tense situation. Your answer will help us to plan things in advance.

If the primary applicant loses their job before receiving an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR):
• Impact on Nomination:
The OINP nomination is closely tied to the job offer that formed the basis of your application. If the applicant loses their job before the AOR and this information is disclosed to OINP or IRCC:
• The nomination could become invalid because the conditions under which it was granted no longer exist.
• This might lead to the rejection of the PR application, as it relies on a valid nomination.
Notify OINP immediately about the job loss. They might allow you time to secure a new, eligible job offer in Ontario to maintain the validity of your nomination.
• If no new job offer is provided, the nomination is likely to be withdrawn.

2. If the primary applicant loses their job after receiving the AOR:
Once the AOR is issued, your application has been officially accepted for processing. Losing the job may not automatically result in the cancellation of your PR application. However, there are critical factors
• IRCC might assess whether you still meet the program requirements during the processing of your application.
• If the job offer was an essential part of the nomination and PR application, IRCC may request updates about your employment status.
• If employment is not essential: In some cases, IRCC might proceed with the application as long as you meet all other criteria.
• If employment is essential: IRCC could place the application on hold and consult OINP. If OINP confirms the nomination is still valid despite the job loss, IRCC may continue processing. Otherwise, the application might be refused.
Maintain Communication: Inform OINP and IRCC promptly about the job loss. Transparency is essential to avoid negative consequences.
Secure a New Job Offer (if possible): If the job loss happens before or after the AOR, securing a new eligible job offer can strengthen your case and help maintain your nomination.
