1. Background Check:
• Criminality Check: IRCC verifies police certificates to ensure there are no criminal inadmissibilities.
• Security Screening: This involves checking if the applicants pose any security risks to Canada. This can take varying amounts of times

• Eligibility Review: IRCC ensures all applicants meet the eligibility criteria based on submitted documents (e.g., proof of funds, employment letters, education, etc.).

2. Additional Document Requests (if any):
• IRCC may ask for additional documents, such as updated police certificates, proof of funds, or further explanation for specific details in your application
• Keep checking both GCKey and the tracker for such requests.
3. Decision Made:
• Once all the assessments (medical, background check, and eligibility) are successfully completed, the status changes to “Final Decision: Approved” in GCKey and “Application Approved” in the tracker.
• If you’re already in Canada, they may instead provide a virtual landing option.
5. COPR Issuance:
• Once you receive the COPR, you are officially approved for PR. If landing in Canada for the first time, you’ll need this document to complete the PR landing process

About Your Medical Exams:
• IRCC typically reviews all medical exams together for family members on the same application. If your wife’s medicals are passed, yours and your son’s results are likely already reviewed or will be soon.
• Keep monitoring GCKey for updates; sometimes, updates for dependents are staggered but progress within a few days.

Hey! I got GCMS note from csis amd cbsa on Nov and my application was in progress with csis. I got another one from cbsa on January and nothing changed compare with Nov (cbsa). I rasied webforms and asked for MP's assistance but they said I have to wait. I am going to order GCMS note again on May. Cause the agent on IRCC call told me it may affect your application if yiu order multiple notes!!!!! I am not optimistic to see any result till July-Aug.

I want to make sure while filling up IMM 5669 online or pdf version. Do I need to fill the form YYYY-MM format Or YYYY-MM-DD ?

I got confused because I saw some applicant did pdf form fill in YYYY-MM-DD Format.

Any idea how long would take ECOPR and P2?
I have been waiting 26 days now!!
Called IRCC,.. the agent said no update and that there is no Timeline for ECOPR!!
it is now Two years, I am tired of being ignored by this useless system.

It's very clear that their immigration system is useless.
I have my PNP submitted since February 2023 and stuck in a Background check since November 2023.
There is no respect and fairness to people's time from the laziest immigration officers in the world.

I got confused because I saw some applicant did pdf form fill in YYYY-MM-DD Format.

For IMM 5669 (Schedule A – Background/Declaration), the date format required is YYYY-MM-DD, unless otherwise specified in a particular section of the form. This applies to both the PDF version and the online version.

I recently submitted my application for the non-Express Entry stream and am waiting for the AOR. However, I just realized this afternoon that my dependent's personal history from July 2024 till date(unemployed) was not included. How can I correct this?

You can fill new form and send it through webform . I would suggest you to send this after you get AOR to avoid any complications.

1. I got a response for old IME they acknowledged and it says it is available and added to view by officer.

2. Also i have submitted a ADR and attached both main and dependent requested PCC but we didn't mentioned the dependent UCI or application number in the cover Email but i have attached the both PCC and only mentioned main applicant details like UCI & Application number.

Do you suggest to send a webform again mentioning dependent details as well.?

I'm preparing documents for work permit extension, I got Application Number and screen shot of payment yesterday, I have new employment letter , Work Permit Support Letter, current work permit scan, I did fill up imm5710e. Do I need language test since my did expire due long wait for background check tomorrow will be 1 year or total 21 moths since I did submit my application. My work permit is expiring end of January 2025 so its time to prepare all documents and to submit.

Any advice

Hello @Miss bee, please if an applicant PR is approved, is it compulsory for the applicant to still remain or work with the same employer that gave them the initial job offer prior to their nomination and application being submitted and approved. I am asking because my friend is thinking of quiting their job and look for another job with a better wages. Would quiting their present job impact on their PR.
