I am trying to surrender my voter ID card. I created an overseas elector account and linked the account to an Indian phone number. But I am not able to add my EPIC number to the profile as it says it is invalid. Without linking EPIC number to my profile, I can’t submit form 7. Thanks in advance.

Check the actual name in the ELECTION commision website by entering EPIC NUMBER., and enter exactly same first name what you see in the system, it worked for me. Have you figured out how to delete the name from family ration card ? I don’t have my own ration card but have name in the family ration card.
If you have ration shop near your Indian home, family member can contact and they can get it done. That's the easiest way to get it done.
Thanks for your response, will try. And can you confirm in the address in form 7, we write the Indian address where the voter id is registered? or present Canadian address?
To answer your question about ration card- my family ration card has been unused for more than 25 years now and expired - so not doing anything for cancelling.
Guys, My wife was at BLS yesterday for OCI application and she was told that there are so many applications that are coming back from Consulate to BLS because the voter id has not been deleted.
Perhaps only submitting form7 is not enough, the deletion should happen first. BLS person suggested her to let the voter id be deleted first, then come back and apply for the OCI, otherwise the application may get rejected.
Did anyone get their OCI application sent back by consulate?

Anyone from Vancouver with Ack Date after September 6th who has received the OCI card status update? Can you please respond?
My Ack Date is Sept 11th 2024. It's been 2months and more than 6 days passed.
Is Vancouver not moving ahead? Is someone else with same dates in the similar situation? Thanks.

I need some urgent help please. I went today to apply my OCI and as usually they took out some mistakes and insisted me to take lounge service which i denied.
Few things i got to know 1- Declaration for surrender of Voter Id, 2- They are only accepting fee by a Demand drfat.
I need help in canceling my voter ID . When i try to fill Form 6 for EPIC its not letting me enter the name using virtual keypad under section B
(Personal Details) and thats how the next options are greyed out. What can i do in this situation? I tried using my laptop keypad as well as virtual one available on website nothing works. Tried using another brwosers but nothing works. How to deal with it?
I was told that the fee can be only paid through demand draft.
I also need to know that how to make a Demand Draft as there is no clarity i could get on website. What is the exact amount i need to make the DD . There website says this:-
All the consular fees must be paid through a bank draft only in favour of The Consulate General of India-Toronto. Additional BLS charges applicable on all consular services.
Mode of Payment at BLS In Person or Postal Applications: 1. Kindly Provide Demand Draft/Money order only in favor of BLS International Services Canada Inc., which includes Passport fee + consular fee + BLS Service charges and relevant postal charges (See para 3). .
I could not understand clearly whether DD will be in favor of The Consulate General of India-Toronto OR BLS International Services Canada Inc OR 2 separate DD need to be made? If yes what is the amount to be paid to BLS? I would really appreciate if anyone could make me understand step by step on this as BLS people are simply not helpful and are more interested in fetching extra money from you.

Thankyou for the reply . Form 7 does not work for me as it says my EPIC is not in the profile, though i have the physical card in India(Not sure if i have to use Number mentioned in the physical card). I dont know how to deal with it. I saw that in Tried and tested youtube video to fill form 6 first and then form 7.
As far as BLS check list is concerned i already shared whats written in their website (In bold and highlighted). Its not clear what to pay whom? I know for $376 for OCI fee but there is not bifurcation of BLS fee is given. No clarity whether one DD to be made or separate. If you have any insight or link please provide.
