Then I received response from BLS Surrey location Postal application department, they shared a BLS tracking screen shot and told me that file is being processed at CGI already. I replied them that I also see the same but it is about OCI website that shows no records found. I somehow managed to do screen recording and shared with them that OCI website shows no record found.
They again replied that they will get in contact with CGI and will get back to me, on same day, CGI BLS people got back to me saying that nothing to worry and file is being processed at CGI, they had kept OCI desk in cc’ed about the conversation, and right after that email I was able to see the status on OCI as under-process and with acknowledgement date of 5th September,2024 keep in mind that BLS shows processing at Consulate General since 23 July.

This morning, I got a call from CGI Vancouver that file is being processed now and they will try to finish processing before end of this month.

Thanks for sharing this. This makes sense. Hopefully someone replies in the same manner to us.

Hi friends, Has BLS Toronto stopped accepting postal applications for new OCI? I do not find any information on their website for postal pick up scheduling.
It only shows this Step 2 to submit the application at BLS center.

For my application BLS is still showing "Under process".
CGI website is showing "No such record found"
If I try reprinting the application I am able to download my PDF. This means BLS has not yet sent the application to CGI? If this continues I will not get an Acknowledgement Date from CGI. This is my worry and my situation.

  1. Application submitted to BLS Edmonton : Jun 17, 2024
  2. Date of Acknowledgement : Jun 25, 2024
  3. Document Printing Status: Processed on 03 Sept 2024
  4. Dispatched from MEA: on 03 Sept 2024
  5. Document received at : Vancouver on on 03 Sept 2024
BLS website tracking still shows 'Processing at consulate General'. I have opted for pickup at their office. will wait for a couple of more days to see if the status changes to 'Ready for pickup'. If not will walk-in into their office.

I applied for my OCI from ottawa BLS
got acknowledgement on 23 July. And document was printed today on 6 September. It's not dispatched yet.

As per my understanding, when it shows “underprocess” on BLS website that means they are still working on your file and haven’t submitted to CGI yet, in that case you can definitely contact BLS to see what is going on.

Here's my timeline for my OCI application, but I'm curious why there haven't been any updates since the processing on September 7th.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?
